Description
We are looking for piano players who want to practice and/or record piano compositions. We have a Yamaha A1S in Vancouver and another Yamaha grand in a cabin on the Sunshine Coast. We would like to promote cycling and live music clascical, jazz, Celtic, folk).

We need help with gardening, meals preparation, and light building duties. We want to hear your music too!

People come here from all over the world to visit the West Coast. The Vancouver apartment is cycling distance to the scenic waterfront downtown, parks, and islands. THe public trasportation is excellent. The Vancouver apartment sits beside the beautiful Britannia Recreation Centre (swimming pool, skating rink, library), and leads to the Commercial Drive area (coffee shops, parks) of Vancouver.

Guests can practice gardening.
Guests can use the house bicycles to explore downtown or the parks.

I'm asking guests to help 4 hours per day, including lunch break, for 5 days a week. Saturday, Sunday are free time (meals provided). We try to have fun, and I don't overwork anyone.

Hébergement
The Vancovuer apartment has a small, single alcove, with a single bed (additional mattress on the floor, if needed) and screens for privacy. The apartment has an outdoor patio and work space, living room, bathroom, kitchen, which you may share.
A small, friendly dog lives here too.

Vancouver is a world class city with parks and beautiful scenery. The waterfront is a 15 minute bicycle ride away on a dedicated bike route. The city has funky cafes, second hand shops, and recreation centres which need reservations to use. Many young people enjoy the arts scene in Vancouver.

Andrew and Monica were very welcoming, and did their best to keep me happy during my stay. I had to leave early because of the virus and travel, but did have concerns about the Workaway itself too.

Patrick is a wonderful soul- intelligent, communicative, and people like him. He has a background in theatre and he plays bass guitar very well. We had a successful jam session with him sitting in, and he sang kerioki at the bar. Patrick is a decent worker and keen to try new tasks.

Nais and Max were two happy, lively young people who stayed two weeks at the house. Nais was helpful with food preparation and laying floor coving, while Max was quite handy laying laminate flooring. They both had a good energy, and were fun to play music with. I shall miss them both.

Andrew is a nice guy. We enjoyed staying in this beautiful area, with a lot of nature around and just next to the river. Watching the salmon swimming up the river was so cool! Having bikes to explore the area and cycling to Hope was good, too.
The work varied a lot, so it didn't get boring (clearing trails, gardening, building etc.)
