Description
We're Francesco and Roberta. Since 2020 we have been managing a renovated industrial warehouse on the outskirts of Galatina (Puglia, Italy) which welcomes natural movement activities and plant-based nutrition practices for well-being. We also have a country estate where we try to learn and put into practice the principles of permaculture and syntropic agriculture.

It is a cultural and sports center where courses and seminars of various disciplines of great interest are organized: kundalini yoga, climbing, circus arts, (acrobatics, juggling, aerial acrobatics, ...), body percussion, drum circle, theater, pizzica (an ancient and traditional dance of Salento), dance therapy, Feldenkrais method, music. Travellers can participate in all the activities offered in the space, free of charge, in exchange for their contribution to the opening of the center to the public. Furthermore, they can meet people with interest cultural backgound and stimulating experience who more and more travel to Salento, often deciding to settle there.
For years we have been practicing a raw vegan diet and we spread the benefits of the practice with events, festivals, workshops in places near and far from us. Workawayers could share this lifestyle with us and with the entire local community if they already practice it; otherwise, they will be able to get to know him and get closer if they wish.
In the countryside, travellers can get in touch with farmers and practitioners of fruit and permaculture, and study with us the “agriculture of not doing” (Fukuoka) approach.Aide
Travellers could help us here, they could contribute to the maintenance of the space and preparation of the training areas; they could also take care of the administrative activity: registration of the members of the center, collection of their data, arrangement of the calendar of activities, promotion, advertisement, settle the space and in particular boulder walls….
According to the seasonal needs, they can work also in a cottage in the countryside: they could participate in the activities of planting new fruit trees as part of a large project for the creation of a food forest, constructing of an irrigation system, planning and realization of a kitchen garden according to the teachings of Fukuoka and of the “agriculture of not doing”, pruning olive trees and other plants in the park, fruit picking and preparation for the drying and storage cycle, as well as any other activity (cleaning, mulching, ...) that is necessary, according to the principles of permaculture and syntropic agriculture.Langues parlées

In autumn and winter the accommodation will be provided in the space: we have mattresses that we place in a part of the old factory used as a cultural center that allows a certain privacy because it is about 600 square meters large; travellers will therefore be able to rest in a reserved environment and use the sanitary facilities of the center.
In spring and summer, they could stay in the countryside, enjoying the very mild Salento climate and sleeping in tents (we can provide)Autres infos...
The place is just a few meters from the Galatina train station, so it is easily reachable from all over Salento and in particular from Lecce, the largest city which is 20 km away. The closest airport is in Brindisi, a 50-minute drive from Galatina. The country estate can be reached by bicycle from Galatina in about 20 minutes. in their free time, workawayers can reach the sea by train, by bicycle or with us by car. The Ionian Sea is 20 minutes away by car, the Adriatic Sea 30 minutes by car: the position of the place is exceptional, because it is located in the center of the Salento peninsula and allows you to enjoy both coasts as well as reach all the small towns of the hinterland, rich in history and popular culture.
