  Description

  After years of planning, I am finally starting my dream of building a self-sufficient, sustainable homestead in a beautiful hilly region of Hungary close to the Balaton lake. The project is in its early stages: I have a traditional adobe house (vályogház) that needs renovation and a large, overgrown land (1.5 hectares) that we are turning into a sanctuary for animals (goats, sheep, and dogs).
  I am also involved in dog breeding. We breed Welsh Corgi Pembroke and Welsh Corgi Cardigan.
  
  This is not a commercial farm, but a personal passion project aiming for nature conservation and a simple, grounded lifestyle.

  By staying with us, you will get a real taste of the authentic Hungarian 'homestead' (tanya) lifestyle, far away from the typical tourist trails. We are renovating a traditional adobe house (vályogház), so you can learn about ancient, eco-friendly building techniques and how to maintain these unique structures.
  
  We love to share our culture and stories over a shared meal. We can show you the hidden gems of the region, from the nearby hills to the beautiful lake. If you are interested in sustainability, rural architecture, or dog behavior, we can have great exchanges of ideas and skills!

  Types of Help:
  • Gardening/Homesteading: Clearing shrubs, planning a vegetable garden, and managing 1.5 hectares of land.
  • Building projects: Help with traditional house renovation and building wooden shelters/sheds for future animals (goats/sheep).
  • Animal Care: Feeding and walking the corgis, general help around the "pack".
  • General Maintenance: Clearing wood, organizing the yard.

  Hébergement

  Currently, the accommodation is in a separate apartment 20 minutes from the farm (50m from Lake Balaton). It has two rooms, a kitchen, and a balcony. I provide a daily meal, or we can cook together.
  Important: Public transport is okay, but having your own car is a plus as I cannot provide a private vehicle at the moment.
