Description
On the island of La Palma (la isla bonita), one of the smaller but most diverse of the Canary Islands, we run an eco-friendly guesthouse for travellers coming to visit.
We have amazing views of the sea from the house and live in a very lush, green area. We are very focussed on the environment, taking care to recycle all that we can and be aware of our consumption of water and electricity.
It is a beautiful, big house with a huge garden full of fruit trees, cactus and of course, palm trees. And we would like to plant more, as well as adding to the number of edible plants on the land.
As the place was just recently converted into a guest house from its previous state as a holistic healing centre, there are a few maintenance projects that have already been put in motion, but right now the majority of the work is focussed in the garden.
The project is placed in the east side of La Palma, near the capital and the airport. It's surrounded by mountains, forest, and it has wonderful sea views but is over 400m2 so is not so close to the beach and can be a bit cold in winter compared to other parts of the canary islands, but if you like nature and a quiet life you will be in paradise.
We work towards a sustainable environment and welcome people who know about permaculture.

Aquí en la isla de La Palma (la isla bonita) alojamos a viajeros y gente consciente del medio ambiente que quieren visitar la isla.
Tenemos unas vistas impresionantes del mar y estamos rodeados por exuberante vegetación. Nos apasiona el medio ambiente, reciclando todo lo que podemos y siempre siendo consciente de nuestro consumo de agua y luz.
Recientemente convertimos la casa de un centro holistico a un albergue, entonces hay unos proyectos de mantenimiento que ya están en marcha, y por ahora la mayoría del trabajo está en el jardín y los exteriores.
Vivimos en el este de la isla, cerca de la capital y el aeropuerto. Rodeados de montañas y bosque de castaños, no estamos tan cerca del mar pero se puede llegar en transporte público que pasa al lado de la casa. Durante el invierno hace más frío en este lado en comparación con otras partes de las canarias, pero si a ti te gusta la naturaleza estarás en el paradiso!
