Description
Hello!
We’re Sam and Christina, and our little family lives in the Sicilian mountains with our 1 year old daughter, Salina. We feel lucky to call our agriturismo home, where we grow what we can, care for our animals (two dogs, chickens, ducks, and sheep), and share our harvest with the lovely volunteers who come to help.
We’re self-taught farmers, still learning every day, and we do our best to live simply, sustainably, and with an open heart. Sam works online as a Creative Director, and I work part-time in HR and teach yoga. We’d be happy to share our home, our meals, and our life here with someone who’s as excited about connection and community as we are :)
As much as we’d love to spend all our days with Salina, I’ll soon be returning to work, and rather than sending her to daycare, we’d love for her to spend time with someone kind and caring who she can really bond, form a connection with, and who can feel part of our little community.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

We live in Tortorici, a small, peaceful town nestled in the heart of the protected Nebrodi Park. Our area is known for its hazelnut groves, surrounded by forests and rolling mountains that make every day feel like a breath of fresh air. Life here is wonderfully simple, just 10 minutes by car to the town center where you can find everything you need, coffee shops to pharmacies and supermarkets. We're also aprox 40 mins away from the stunning beaches of Capo d’Orlando incase you wish to explore and enjoy some seaside walks.

We’ll provide 3 meals a day, and we’d love to share at least one of those meals together as a way to connect, build community, and bring the team closer. It’s always the best time of day to unwind and share stories!
We ask for around 4–5 hours of help a day, 5 days a week (Monday–Friday from 9:00am-2:00pm), usually divided like this:
- 3 hours keeping Salina happy and engaged through playtime, activities, and fun learning moments.
- 2 hours helping us keep our home clean and organized (as much as possible with a lively one-year-old bouncing around 😅).
- 1 hour cooking one shared meal each day, plus lending a hand with preparing Salina’s little healthy meals.Langues parlées

You’d have your own fully equipped, private accommodation in a house just next door on the farm, shared with a few other lovely volunteers who help out with farm work year round. We’ll provide 3 meals a day, and we’d love to share at least one of those meals together as a way to connect, build community, and bring the team closer.

As mentioned, we're a small family with an extended family of furry friends that includes 2 dogs, ducks, sheep and chickens. Since we both work and have busy hands, we can’t always do it all and give the farm the attention it needs. That’s why we’ve opened our home to volunteers who help out throughout the year. Having Salina grow up surrounded by caring people and nature means so much to us, it’s a wonderful way for her to thrive and feel supported in a warm, loving environment :)
