  We live in the century old farmhouse on site and are looking for independent, detail oriented, organized, positive, and friendly folks to join our team . Housekeeping, land maintenance, and some gardening.
  
  We are a multicultural family of three living on Lopez Island by way of Canada-Japan-USA. We are a multilingual household and speak English, Japanese, and intermediate Spanish.
  
  Punctuality, "can do" attitude, independent but also a team player, organized, tidy and positive attitude are a must. You must be a US citizen and have a driver's license to apply for this paid position.

  We have varied backgrounds with strong construction and design skills as well as experience in gardening and property management. We are a multi cultural family with Canadian, Japanese and African American heritage. We speak English, Japanese, and moderate Spanish as well. Collective BA degrees include Japanese, Art, & EnglishLit.
  Can teach Japanese if interested. Would love to continue speaking Japanese, learn more Spanish and are an inclusive household. This tiny island offers wonderful trails and nature abound with inter island ferries that allow for exploration of the other nearby islands on your own time. We do have a boat and like to go on island excursions with our workaways as well.

  Aide

  We are looking for help on our live work Inn. Where we split days between gardening, housekeeping, land management, and light construction duties. Ideally looking for those with experience but not required. Work days are usually 3-5 hours/day and can start as early as 8am and as late as 10. Duties will include housekeeping, laundry, folding, weeding,watering, seeding. transplanting. Punctuality is a must. Being able to work independently and in a group a must. Having a can do attitude. Love and appreciate nature, challenges, and learning are the qualities we are looking for.

  Hébergement

  We provide tent housing with queen size bed linens and towels. There is a shared bathroom that would be shared with no more than 3 people with hot shower,sink and toilet. Outdoor kitchen area with microwave, electric kettle, electric cooktop, full size fridge. Once a week we do a family style supper in the farm house. We have multiple bikes for use on the island as well.

  Lopez Island is in the Pacific Northwest and part of the San Juan Islands with Orcas and San Juan Islands just 20 minutes away by ferry. Lopez Island is a nature adventurer's happy place. Hiking, Bicycling, Kayak,Paddleboard Birding,,Farm tours, abound. We are a 40 min walk to the Village Center, or a 5 minute bike ride. A couple minutes by car. Getting around most of the island by bike is an easy to moderate ride. Inter-island ferries run multiple times a day so excursions to explore other island are easy and for day trips or multiple days. We have bicycles and helmets for your use.
