    Description

Hi, I'm Sherzod, founder an adventure tour company in Uzbekistan. We run hiking, trekking, cycling, horse riding and cultural tours, with our roots in the Nuratau Mountains.

Our story started with a small community tourism project in local mountain villages. Today we work with a network of village homestay families and run a yurt camp in the Nuratau Mountains.

What we love about this area: quiet mountain villages, walnut groves, old petroglyphs, big open skies, and some of the warmest hospitality you will find anywhere. Life here is simple and slow, and you'll share tea, bread and stories with local families.

Our team includes about 10 guides, drivers, and an office team of 11 in Jizzakh who handle bookings and logistics. At the yurt camp and in the villages, you'll meet local hosts, cooks and staff who keep everything running.

We welcome people who are curious, friendly and happy to be part of a small team in a remote, beautiful place.

Life in the Nuratau Mountains is a real window into rural Uzbekistan. You'll share meals with our team, drink lots of tea, and spend time with village families who host travellers in their homes. You can join them in daily life, like baking bread, cooking Uzbek dishes, working in the garden or looking after animals.

We're happy to share what we know about Uzbek culture and traditions, mountain hiking, local nature, and how a small tourism business works in a remote area. You can also pick up some Uzbek or Russian words along the way.

From you, we hope to learn new ideas, new ways of seeing our place, and something about your culture and country. Our team and host families enjoy practising English and hearing stories from other parts of the world, so every volunteer leaves something behind here too.

    Aide

We're looking for help with photos, video and written content. You'll spend time at the yurt Camp and in nearby villages, capturing daily life, the mountain landscapes, our guests' experiences and the families we work with.

Typical tasks include taking photos and short videos, basic editing, writing short blog posts, and helping with captions for our website and Instagram.

You'll help alongside our local team, and we'll take you along on walks and village visits to find good stories and places to shoot. We're happy to share what we know about local culture, hiking and running a tourism business, and we'd love to learn from your skills too.

You don't need to be a professional, but some experience with photography, editing or writing in English will help. Please bring your own camera or laptop if you have one.

You'll stay at our camp in a traditional yurt with a proper bed, clean bedding and blankets. The camp has shared toilets and showers. When you visit the villages, you may also stay with one of our homestay families.

All meals are included. You'll eat with our team, mostly local home-style Uzbek food made with fresh ingredients from the area. If you have any dietary needs, let us know before you come and we'll do our best.

The camp has internet, so you can stay in touch and upload your photos and videos. Nights can be cool, especially in spring and autumn, so bring warm clothes.

In your free time you can hike in the Nuratau Mountains, visit nearby villages, or travel further to places like Samarkand or Aydarkul Lake. We can help you with local transport and advice on getting around.

Villages here are traditional and conservative, so please dress modestly and respect local customs. We're a small, friendly team, and we ask volunteers to be reliable, open-minded and respectful of guests, staff and host families.
