  Description

  Hi, we live in the countryside near Loughrea, County Galway, in the West of Irland, 35 kilometres from Galway City. We have a big garden and are mainly looking for help with minding all the flowers and vegetables. There is also some house painting and decorating that we would be interested getting help with. We are a married couple, with grown up children who have left home, and a friendly orange cat.

  My husband has some French and Spanish and I have some Italian. We would happily include language exchange with any of those languages. I work as an artist and an art teacher and would be happy to include drawing and other art tuition. We live in the countryside and are surrounded by beautiful scenery, including a big hill to walk up.

  The main activity we are looking for is help with the garden. We have a large garden with many things growing, including vegetables in the polytunnel, numerous flower beds, wooded areas and a wildflower meadow. Weeding always needs a-doing, as does planting, sowing and pruning. My husband has some French and Spanish and I have some Italian. We would happily include language exchange with any of those languages.

  Hébergement

  We have two double bedrooms so could take two Workaways at one time. A separate bathroom with bath and shower is provided. We have a two storey house with all the bedrooms including our own upstairs. We would be happy if the Workaways would like to eat with us, we could even take turns cooking if interested!

  Autres infos...

  Although we're in the country, we can provide lifts to the bus or train, which goes into Galway City, or to other parts of Ireland. We are a half-hour drive from the coast.

  We are in the country and have a large amount of car parking space.

  We have one cat. We wouldn't mind a dog, but the garden is not net fenced all the way around and there are cows in the fields beside us. Any other pet would be fine also, I think, although maybe not a horse!
