Description
Hello!
My name is Elena and I live in an old house in a small rural village of around 2,000 inhabitants, surrounded by dehesa landscapes and olive groves. I live on my own with my three cats and enjoy a quiet life, closely connected to nature and rural rhythms.
This is a simple, lived-in home in the countryside, shaped by the pace of rural life and the changing seasons. I value calm, care, and meaningful human exchange, and I enjoy sharing everyday life with people who appreciate simplicity and nature.
This place offers a peaceful environment, close to the land, where it is possible to slow down, connect with the surroundings and experience what life in a real rural village is like, far from tourism and noise.

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
For me, hosting is first and foremost about cultural exchange. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds, sharing everyday life and learning from each other. One of my personal motivations for hosting is to improve my English while getting to know new perspectives, stories and ways of life.
Workawayers will have the opportunity to connect with my family and the local community, especially during time spent in the countryside or through everyday village life. Depending on the moment, this can include shared meals, informal gatherings, local celebrations or small community events.
I’m happy to share knowledge about rural life in Spain, the rhythms of the countryside, local traditions and what day-to-day life in a small village is really like. I can also share my experience around community projects, living simply and staying connected to the territory.
Living here also means being close to nature. Workawayers can explore the natural surroundings, visit nearby natural monuments, enjoy walks through dehesa and olive groves, and, if they wish, take part in local festivals and traditions.
Aide
I’m looking for friendly, hands-on help with everyday life in a rural home and, at certain times of the year, in the countryside.
Around the house, the help is mainly about care and small improvements: cleaning, painting rooms or windows, basic gardening and keeping the place nice and looked after. As I work during the week, most of these tasks are usually done on your own. I’ll always explain what needs to be done and give guidance, but it’s important that you feel comfortable working independently and at your own pace.
I also have a family plot of land, and depending on the season, there may be help needed with the vegetable garden or with traditional tasks like harvesting olives or almonds, or caring for the olive trees. On field days, you won’t be alone — you’ll be working with me or with a member of my family, sharing the work and the experience together.
I don’t have much time to cook in my daily routine, so help with cooking is also very welcome, especially if you enjoy it or like experimenting in the kitchen. Shared meals are an important part of life here.

Hébergement
Workawayers will stay in a spacious private room inside my house, with a double bed. The room is located in the interior part of the house and does not have windows, which is common in traditional old houses in this village.
You are welcome to use all the shared areas of the house, including the living room, the kitchen and the garden/patio. The house is shared with me and my three cats and has a calm, home-like atmosphere.
The most important house rule is to be very careful with doors , to make sure the cats do not escape outside. Loving and respecting animals is an essential part of life here.
Autres infos...
The area where I live offers authentic natural and cultural experiences, ideal for people who enjoy nature, rural life and a slower pace.
Very close by, there is a protected Natural Monument made up of several caves, with impressive geological formations and archaeological interest. Guided visits can be arranged through the local tourism office. The surrounding landscape of dehesa, holm oaks and olive groves is perfect for walking, hiking, cycling and enjoying the countryside, as well as sunsets and stargazing.
Village life itself is also part of the experience. Depending on the time of year, workawayers can enjoy local festivals, traditional celebrations and everyday social life, which are a great way to connect with the local culture. Nearby villages offer nice options for day trips, small explorations, local food and discovering rural heritage.
The city of Seville is about 1 hour and 20 minutes away, making occasional visits or short trips possible.
Regarding public transport, options from the village are limited, with only one bus early in the morning. However, this is usually not an issue, as I can help by driving you to a nearby town where there are more frequent public transport connections.
If my availability allows, I’ll also be very happy to personally accompany you to discover the surroundings and share some of my favourite places in the area.
