  Description

  We are a group of artists renovating a villa on Skiathos. The villa is on one acre of land and has an abundance of fruit trees. We are located a ten minute walk from the airport, a ten minute walk from the sea, and a fifteen minute walk to the the old town where you will find lots of bars and restaurants. The island's best supermarket is across the street from us. Beyond our villa, Skiathos is the most lush Greek island. It is filled with pine trees and hiking paths you can take to quiet, white sand beaches.

  We are very plugged into the local Greek and artist community here on Skiathos. We will let you know about special events and holidays and can invite you to exhibitions. Additionally, we have an international group of people coming and going, so there are lots of opportunities for cultural exchange with whoever is here. Skills here at the moment include: spearfishing, Greek language, Spanish language, salsa dancing, painting, woodworking, pyroethnobotany, endurance running, literature, and others.

  Aide

  We are looking for general help restoring our land and our villa, which was abandoned for the past five years. The work may be as simple as tidying up and cooking breakfast and dinner for us so we can focus on our renovation activities. We would also welcome people with experience in permaculture, sustainable farming, or landscape design. In the long term, we would like to create a small farm. In the short term, this means restoring the soil through the strategic use of native plants and worm composting.

  Hébergement

  Accommodations are a bit rustic at the moment. We have a total of four habitable rooms with ten total beds. The rooms won't have their own AC units for several weeks, but they stay cool enough with fans. We have a very large refrigerator, a hot plate for cooking things in pots and pans, and a kettle for tea or coffee. The main kitchen will be complete in several weeks.

  If you are interested in helping us restore our land and soil, we are situated atop an aquifer, so water is abundant.
  
  Skiathos is full of things to do in your time off. Walk to the beach, go for a hike, enjoy the nightlife. You can easily spend months on Skiathos without getting bored.
  
  From April until October there are direct budget flights to Skiathos from all over Europe. For the rest of the year, there are flights from Athens once per week, or you can go the adventurous route and take the ferry from Volos.
