Description
Hello 😊
We’re Julia and Miroslav, a German-Bulgarian couple living in a small village near Veliko Tarnovo.
We have two little wildlings — our boys are 2 and 4 years old — and they love meeting new people. Maybe you’ll be one of them?
After a long break from hosting (life got busy with building a home and raising a family), we’re excited to open our doors again. Before settling down, we were active Couchsurfers, hitchhikers, and travelers ourselves — always happy to meet people from all over the world.
We’d love to host you if you’re an open, honest person. There’s always something to do around here, like:
✅Playing with the kids
✅Helping with everyday stuff like cooking or hanging laundry (extra points if you enjoy cooking!)
✅Gardening
✅Handy projects to spark creativity
If you’re into handy projects, we’d be happy to support you in creating your own little project — in the past, volunteers built things like a bench, and we’d love someone to create a fun mud playground for the kids.
We’re always happy to share what we’ve learned about village life, raising kids, traveling, and running an online business. You can also learn about wood work as a craft skill from Miro or about fitness and yoga from Julia.
There’ll be plenty of time to explore and go on little trips — work will never be overwhelming.
Just a heads-up: if you’re traveling by public transport, we can only host one person (we only have one spare car seat).
If you’re coming with your own vehicle, we can host up to two adults.
We’re really looking forward to meeting you!Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Staying with us means getting a real glimpse into village life in Bulgaria — something you wouldn’t experience just by passing through.
You’ll see what it’s like to live close to nature, raise a family in a small community, and balance modern life (like running an online business) with a slower, more grounded lifestyle.
We’re happy to share everything we’ve learned about gardening, simple DIY projects, and the ups and downs of moving between cultures and building a home from scratch. You’ll also get a feel for Bulgarian traditions, food, and daily rhythms — and if you're up for it, even practice a little Bulgarian or German with us!
At the same time, you’ll bring a new perspective into our home, and our kids especially love picking up words, songs, and little habits from guests. It’s a true exchange — we all end up learning from each other.Projets impliquant des enfants

Our village is tucked away among forests and gentle hills — a peaceful spot with lots of nature to explore.
Nearby, you’ll find the famous Emen Canyon, some beautiful waterfalls, and a huge lake that's perfect for a day trip.
The village itself sits at a little crossroads: one road connects the towns of Pavlikeni and Sevlievo, while another leads straight to Veliko Tarnovo, the old historical capital.
From here, you can also catch buses to places like Gabrovo and Svishtov.
Our village is about 11 km south of Pavlikeni’s train station, which sits on the main railway line between Sofia and Varna — and also connects Sofia with Bucharest.
We’re also just 11 km north of the main Sofia–Varna highway, so getting around is pretty easy!Informations complémentaires

We both work online. Miro has an online business, selling his instruments via Etsy and social media. Julia is full remote worker, selling her knowledge as a freelancer and entrepreneur. Usually, we have stabe internet. Sometimes, we have power cuts or the internet goes off but that happens rarely.
