We live on an old property with 8 acres. We have a large fruit orchard with abundant bird and insect life. We are a vegetarian household. We love the freedom of the countryside and the beauty of our natural environment. We look forward to hosting new people and making connections!

Daily interaction with Muriel & Jim who are happy to share their local knowledge and skills. Jim has extensive small farm experience and is an avid apple tree breeder. He makes excellent organic apple cider vinegar! Muriel loves house organisation and cooking. She is a lifelong meditator and enjoys all forms of cultural exchange including taking opportunities to travel!

We live 5 km from both Tralee and Castleisland. Tralee has an excellent bus and train service. Kerry is a very beautiful county with both coastal and inland activities. Tralee has many excellent eateries and good pubs with live music sessions.
I'm lost for words to describe how grateful I am for my stay in Muriel and Jim's beautiful house. They treated me like a member of a family from the very first day. We shared lovely moments together from preparing dinners to even swimming in the freezing ocean with Muriel's amazing friend. Muriel showed me more of Ireland that I could ever have… read more expected. She is incredibly kind and hardworking, she never let me work alone, always working alongside me. It was a real pleasure to share work with her. She always cared for me, making sure i didn't overwork and looked after my back. She is incredibly thoughtful, on the day of my trip she woke up early to make me pancakes, I truly felt like at my mother's house. And there are many more examples like this. Jim is such a kind and gentle man, both have such a great sense of humor and together make a wonderful couple. A month passed so quickly and I already miss them and Ireland, and I hope to return one day.
Marzena is an absolute treasure. She quickly settled into our home and helped with every level of maintenance. She befriended our ducks and baby chick.
An excellent cook, she encouraged us to experience many new dishes - and we have put together our own recipe book!
Our house has had an entire "spring clean", we have new veggie beds and we still… read more had time for fun and exploring Kerry and the seas.
We miss her and look forward to meeting her soon again!!
Muriel and Jim are really lovely people who have a big house in the country in the kingdom of Kerry. They make sure you have enough time to explore and learn Kerry and Ireland and i learned a lot about their culture thanks to them. Yiu have your own private room so private space included.
They care a lot, always positive and if yiu ha e any… read more questions or wishes, they help you. I was thinking and thinking, I just can not find any negative. What does that mean? It was a wonderful experience from first to last day.
If you want learn about Ireland and specifically Kerry, try them, you will not regret.

Jesaja was SO helpful! We miss him already and he only left this morning.
Nothing was too much trouble for him. He managed to beautify our "basement cave" and corral many decades of accumulation - from dissaray to organised!!
He also did a lot of outdoor work - helping with weeding, rescuing old glasshouses and planning placement for future… read more use.
It was truly our pleasure to host him and we feel blessed that he was our first workawayer!
