Description
Hello dear workawayer! We are a family living in Abano Terme, a nice little Spa town near Padua in the north east of Italy. We are 2 adults and 2 girls of 11 and 9, the youngest with Autism) living in an old former farm. We are surrounded by nature, yet very close to the living university town of Padua, and a short train ride to Venice.

We would love to show our kids the beauty of different cultures, habits and languages. At the same time we would love to give the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful part of Italy to someone who wishes to live a special cultural experience. Art lovers will love the area as Padua and the nearby cities are full of it!

Aide
We request a little help for housework in the house mainly during mornings. Lunch will be self provided (you have a simple but fully equipped kitchen all for you, and a supermarket within walking distante) whereas dinners can be done together if you are not away.
Our oldest kid, 11, Is a huge Kpop fan and into Japanese culture so of you also are itwould be Ideal!!
The youngest, 9, Is Autistic but you will not be asked to look after her, although anybody with experience of special needs, or siblings, are welcome.
A part for the help in the house we are interested in the cultural exchange and the possibility for our bigger daughter to learn English. So open, fun and friendly people are our favorite :)

Hébergement
We offer an independent apartment with a bedroom, private bathroom and fully equipped kitchen and private entrance at the ground floor (we live upstairs). No air conditioning so if you struggle with heat please do not apply.
Please notice that we have a cat and a big black dog in the nextdoor house. As for meals..I don't really like cooking..but if you have simple tastes there will always be something to share together! Or the kitchen is yours if you wish to cook some dishes of your country:)

In the time off you can visit many nearby cities like Padua, Venice, Verona, go for bike rides or go for a swin in one of the many local thermal swimming pools.
We can't provide a car, but with a 10 minute bike ride you can go the bus stop taking you to Padua (frequent rides).
We live a very simple life, since we have to adjust to the special needs of the autistic daughter, often busy with her terapies and activities.
Please do not apply if not confident in riding a bike as we can not take you around much.
