Description
Hello & grüezi! :-)
××× 2019: we'll have our baby in september and are looking for a good german speaking and kids loving person who wants to help us during the first time with the baby. For 1-3 months, maybe more, would be best. Payed extra hours could be posssible - would love to hear from you! ×××
We are a young family of 5: parents (30&27) & 3 adorable boys (9, 6 and 4 years old) - baby coming in september 2019. With our 2 dogs and a flok of chickens & ducks we live in a beautiful tiny village on the countryside of switzerland, but close to zurich & winterthur and also to the german border. Okey, in switzerland almost everything is close ;-)
We have a big garden which we really love and this year we tray to grow veggies the first time.
While my husband works as a primary teacher, i'm a staying-at-home-mom during the week and a part-time photographer from time to time.
We practice homeschooling, so our boys stay at home as well.
We love to spend time with our boys, our pets and in / around our home. At home we cook & eat vegan.
What we are looking for and why we joined workaway:
Its not possible for us to travel ourself ATM, so being a hostfamily is a great way to learn about cultures, meet interesting people and teach our children to be openminded - without travelling ourself :-)
We are a friendly and fun family and we would appreciate some help with simple daily duties of a family as well as with teaching our boys.
We are pretty flexible. You should take over some regular duties like tidy up, clean the kitchen, vacuum clean.
You could also help us with the animals, in the garden or with houshold chores like clean windows, balcony or decluttering. If you could play / craft with the kids while i'm doing school things with one of them or my husband and i can take one hour off (we will stay at home!) We will be more than happy.
You should really like to play with children and like animals. otherwise you should look for another host :-) you also should be a patient, responsible, honest & empathic person.
We think we would be great hosts for people who love to help a family (and earn a lot thankfulness!), be part of the family but are also independent and flexible :-)
My sister and her husband live close by (15minutes from here). They live in a house with their baby-son and 2 cats. It would be cool to find someone who would like to stay with us for 2 weeks (for example) and 2 weeks there, 2 weeks here and so on if you would like to spend a longer period in switzerland.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

We have interesting places & cities around our home:
- our family owns a small holiday flat in famous & beautiful DAVOS, and you could plan a trip to this lovely alpine village if the flat is unrentet at that moment.
- winterthur is very cultural with a beautiful old town, lots of clubs, parks, events, museums. In summer the "albani fest", europes biggest city festival which takes place every year, as well as the "musik festwoche", a music festival which lasts almost 2 weeks. Winterthur is placed 15mins away from our home.
- you can reach zurich within 40mins by train, the capital BERN withing 1.5 hours by train.
- the breathtaking rhine falls you can reach within 20mins by car
You will love switzerland because of its beautiful mountains, lakes, hike paths, perfect public transport and of course worlds best cheese & chocolate ;-)
You even can visit austria, germany, france and italy pretty easily within a few hours travel time (traveling by long distance buses is very cheap). Maybe for weekend trips. You can reach the german border within approx. 30mins by car or train.
In our tiny village you can visit the typically, small swiss farms with lots of cows, and you can go for wonderful bike tours or walks or make BBQ on rivers which are approx. 5-8km away.
We would love to help you learning some german and our loving family is a perfect place to experience and learn about children & childcare as well as the animals we own.
My mother is an artist and always welcome people to draw or make clay art with her.
And as a photographer i love to make a photoshoot with you if you like :-)Projets impliquant des enfants
