Description
Hello, travellers!
We're Yulia & Yassar Markos, and we're running a youth NGO which was founded in 2013. Our mission is to support young people in reaching their highest potential and becoming active members of society. While the organization is located in Sofia, our house opens its doors to you 80 km from Sofia next to Djurovo village.
The place is an educational & retreat center launched in July 2022, and since then we've been hosting international youth projects from May till September. At the moment we're looking for travellers - preferably couples or families - who can stay in this house mid-season and help us to prepare it for the upcoming summer season and the projects that we will run there from June onwards.
This opportunity is for people who are looking for a serene countryside, want to experience a calm lifestyle and stay in this spacious house alongside with two friendly residents. In exchange for your stay, we ask for a maximum of two hours of housework. Currently, we are not paying guests. Read more for details.

When you come back home, you will feel more confident and able to take care of things on your own.
During your stay, you'll get to do basic tasks to keep the house in good shape and take care of the kitties. These activities are a chance for you to learn by doing, and these skills can be really useful in the future. Since these tasks only take about two hours, you'll also have plenty of time to work on your own projects in the environment that encourages productivity and focus.
Aide
We ask the travellers who come to stay at our country house to also take care of it. You'll need to do some basic cleaning, like sweeping and wiping, cleaning the territory of the house and fix some things around the house. In addition you will help us to prepare the house for the upcoming summer season and the projects that we will implement with some basic paintings, fixing some details in the house, small gardening and planting, fixing some outside details, preparing the dining area/kitchen, etc. Two cute kitties live there too, so they'll need food and some playtime. Spending about 2 hours every day on these tasks is more than enough. The rest of the day is totally free for you to do whatever you like.

This is a beautiful country retreat located just 80km from Sofia, near Djurovo village. Here, you'll find:
- 7 cozy bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, so you can pick the one that suits you best during your stay.
- A spacious living room with a comfy sitting area and a warm fireplace.
- Both indoor and outdoor kitchens, perfect for cooking and enjoying meals.
- 4 lovely terraces to choose from: a long second-floor terrace, a panoramic 360-degree view terrace, an outdoor terrace, and a unique Safari terrace.
- A covered area for outdoor activities to keep you entertained.
- Plenty of outdoor seating options, comfy hammocks, and a nearby river where you can take a refreshing swim.
Please note that the nearest village is about a 15-minute drive away, and the closest supermarket is approximately 30 minutes away by car. To make the most of your stay, having a car to get around is highly recommended.

For sure, digital nomads are welcome! We don't provide internet, but you can still use your mobile data and have a pretty uninterrupted access. It might not be the best place for people who work exclusively online and have a lot of meetings, though.

While we have space for parking a campervan, you might also want to enjoy staying in the house itself, while it offers a lot of free space and all necessary living conditions.
