We offer you an unforgettable rainforest experience: during your working hours ,on the field you'll be surrounded by wildlife; such as Monkeys, Sloths, Deers, Agoutis and many, many birds!)

*Panama history and culture with locals (many of our volunteers are professional tour guides).
* Local conservation efforts to preserve one most diverse countries in the neotropics,

VOLUNTEER FOR RAPTOR MIGRATION MONITORING PROJECT:
*WE ARE NOW TAKING VOLUNTEERS FOR THE 2022 SEASON
*You must be FULLY VACINNATED against COVID-19 to join as volunteer.( QR Code and/or vaccination card is required and will be verified) Any Volunteer showing Flu-like symptoms during his tenure will be refused/removed from the program and forced to quarantine for15 days
*The application period for THE 2022 SEASON ends on August 2022
*Our project STARTS on OCTOBER 1st thru NOVEMBER 18th.
*You need to have a Biology or Nature Conservation background.
Hello my name is Ariel, I'm a renowned local birdwatcher/ guide in Panama; from October to November,
I support a local environmentalist not for profit Non-Government Organization(NGO) as Site Coordinator on one the most important birds of prey migration monitoring stations in the world ( recording more than a million raptors every year). I require a person volunteer to serve as hawkcounter also to assist me on all program related duties on and off the field.
We are located at a municipal nature reserve in Panama City. Though this a citizen science project, the data collected will be used by scientist to make further analysis about the status of the bird of prey population;
You'll be the assistant for the program coordinator hence volunteers will have to fit the following profile:
- Age ( 20- 45 years old)
- Highly motivated
Also volunteers must able to spend several hours on the field under variable weather conditions and willing to do some environmental education explaining the work we do, to foreign and local visitors to the site (e.g Tourists, School and college students).
I require volunteers to stay at least 4 days, but if you consider that you can help us for a longer tenure
it will be kindly appreciated.

*You'll share accommodation with the program site coordinator's,
(A small apartment located in a neighborhood close to the project venue: A mini-unit (438 sq. feet/ 40 sq.m.) with a single bathroom(cold water only,) Washing machine, Kitchen with microwave oven, skillets and electric grill and a fridge, Satellite,TV , Wi-Fi, portable air conditioner and ceiling fans. A twin bed and an inflatable mattress)
*You will do your own cooking. if you have an special diet (e.g vegetarian or vegan) we recommend you bring your own food.
*You will be responsible along with your roommate for the cleanliness of the apartment.
During you time off (4 days a week) You'll have the opportunity to discover several areas of Panama and the possibility to hang out with some local outdoors and nature enthusiasts . Though if you have your own plans for your days off, you are free to do so. We'll support you with transportation upon arrival/departure to the airport and to the volunteering site
