Buenos Dias!
Currently looking for someone (preferably a couple but not imperative) to come and enjoy the beautiful Choco Andino Tropical Cloud Forest of MINDO, Ecuador. The exchange starting date would be from March 30th, 2026 to April 24th, 2026 (roughly 3.5 weeks. Our place is located 2km from town where one can enjoy a variety of shops, restaurants, and small mountain town charm. Mindo is one of if not the safest towns in all of Ecuador. Please read a little more about this very special part of the world that in recent years has gained international fame for the abundance of neotropical flora and fauna not to mention one of the top birding places in the world.

Travellers would benefit from an experience in Mindo by living in a very beautiful, quiet, and abundant biodiverse place in the world while practicing and implementing a permaculture project, landscaping, etc...

Help include house/property/pet care. We have two dogs...Chia who's an incredible loving dog (3 yrs old) and Chonta, a 3mo puppy.

We have a beautiful space which includes a large, very comfortable and well equipped kitchen living room with fiber optic wifi/internet, a flat screen TV with Netflix, a huge outdoor roof covered wooden deck with an incredible world class view of the mountain forest/birds etc...It is a very peaceful (repeat, no noise) space which is perfect for reading, writing, meditating, yoga, etc...The lodging is a very clean and cozy master cabin/bedroom with a Queen Bed, private bath with hot water. The sleeping quarters are connected to a wooden floating deck to the kitchen / living room area. The garden has lemon grass, avocado, lemon, bananas, papaya, mangostino, guava, basil, cherry tomato, ginger, turmeric, bay leaf, chillangua (native cilantro like herb), rosemary, coca leaf, guayusa (native amazonian green tea ), Salak, Jackfruit, etc, etc...

Mindo is a world class bird watching destination. There are numerous hikes to waterfalls, rivers, birdwatching trails, etc...Pleasant peaceful town with good food, restaurants, markets, craft shopping, and other comforts of a town. Its an easy 2 hours bus ride from Quito northern bus terminal of Carcelen.
