Greetings from the Equator...
I am currently looking for volunteers, preferably a couple, whom would be interested in Volunteering in the beautiful and biodiverse Cloud Forest of Mindo, Ecuador and or on the coast of Esmeraldas in the surfing town of Mompiche! Please indicate which location you prefer. Mompiche work exchange is basic maintenance and caretaking of property, cabins, and house in general. Mompiche is located about 5 hours from Mindo and 7-8 hours from the capitol of Quito. Mindo is located 2 hours west of Quito...as you decend from the Andes down towards the coast of Esmeraldas. Its a world class destination known for its unique and abundant flor and fauna not to mention one of if not the most well known bird watching areas of the world. I am finishing up a beautiful space which includes a huge outdoor wooden deck which connects to three bedrooms with queen size beds, full equiped kitchen for serious cooks, cozy dining area living room, two bathrooms including an outdoor stoned walled garden bathroom...all with hot water. My interest is for someone and or a couple whom are interested in taking care of the place, receiving guest that may rent from time to time and most importantely are keen to work on the landscape with gardening, permaculture....for some a dream to put into practice, an open book to create , design, plant, cultivate, and appreciate. Im looking for voluteers who would like to commit long term to realize such a project (permaculture, sustainability, food garden, landscaping, etc...Internet is available to work from home! Mindo is a world class bird watching destination. There are numerous hikes to waterfalls, rivers, birdwatching trails, etc...From June until November its the summer season with blue skys in general! Pleasant peaceful town with good food, restaurants, markets, craft shopping, and other comforts of a town. Its an easy 2 hours bus ride from Quito northern bus terminal of Carcelen.
