Help with DIY project and gardening at an agricultural village in Sykourio, Greece

  Description

  We are in the process of renovating two old stone houses in a beautiful village in mainland Greece. We are looking for people who can help with building (stone,carpentry and general handyman work) plus people to help with small scale veg gardens. We will also be looking for people to help pick olives when the season is right, approx mid to late December.
  We can offer a house and meals and a lot of genuine greek hospitality!

  To experience life in an authentic agricultural village in mainland Greece at the foot of mount Ossa.
  To meet and live like a local and be part of the community!
  To enjoy the greek cuisine ( you can cook together with the hosts and learn a few tips !).
  It's a special place off the tourists beaten paths!

  We will be on site at all times to supervise but we won't be hands on with all jobs.

  Hébergement

  Self contained house in the village with two bedrooms bathroom and basic kitchen, comfortable clean and charming. The house is in an olive grove and the hosts live 100 meters away. There are shops bakers pharmacy and supermarket near by.
  
  We will offer one cooked meal per day and supply ingredients for the other two meals as the volunteers will have their own kitchen and can be independent

  The village is at the foot of Mount Ossa with lots of beautiful trails for walking. There are regular busses in to the near by city of Larissa which has ancient sites shopping and entertainment.
