  Description

  We are a friendly family of six. With children from 9 to 19 and a 5year old labrador. Our house is situated in the beautiful countryside of Iceland close to some of Iceland most beautiful sites. We are looking for someone to help around the house, help with some woodwork and maintenece of our house, run errands and walk our dog. We are interested in meeting people from all over the world.

  My husband and I are both teachers and we love teaching. I love languages and he is a great welder and a mechanic. We love talking about our country and its history. We offer our knowledge to those who want to learn more about Iceland. We like the outdoors and frequently use our 2 kajaks during summer and take up skiing and skating in the winter. From our house you can drive or take the bus to places such as Vik, Gullfoss, Geysir, Reykjavík, Landmannalaugar all within or around an hour drive.

  Aide

  We are mainly looking for someone to help with cleaning the house and outside the house. Such as mopping floors. Putting dishes away and tidying up. We have four happy, open and kind kids including three active boys and even though we like them to take part in household tasks they need reminding and help to do so.
  We also have a lovely kind and super smart labrador who loves to take walks. We try to take her for an hour walk each day but we aren't always able to so we would also ask you to take her for a walk somedays.
  We are building an extention to our living room which will be a sort of cold greenhouse and we need help with that.
  We would also love it if you were able to cook the occasional dinner. We like everything from a simple meals to experimental cooking.

  Hébergement

  You would be staying in our house with a 16sqm bedroom to yourself. It has a single bed that can be changed to a doublebed. It also has a big closet. Small desk and a chair. In our house you have access to TV, Free Wi-Fi, Hot tub (in the summertime), Kitchen, shared bathroom, washer and a dryer. Kajaks and occasionally a car. You can cook your own food or share meals with us.
