Description
Currently (but not exclusively!) seeking carpenters, builders and other tradespeople
ABOUT US :
Our place is located in the village Red Mountain (Tsitelmta, Western Georgia, South Caucasus) exactly on a hilltop where our family have lived for centuries and just like birds they have flown away and returned.
Our story is the story of three challenges and three returns; three times where the fires of the hearth were extinguished and then rekindled.
History:
At the beginning of the 20th century, all of the children of the family had moved away and our great-great-great grandfather Lazare found himself alone, after the loss of his wife, in our house at the top of our hill surrounded by tea bushes, vineyards and fruit trees. Lazare to preserve the house and estate decided to gift the house and estate to encourage his granddaughter, Marta. It was a rather brave and extraordinary decision to give household to a woman of the family! Almost 100 years from this time, Lika, my mother has decided to move back to her historical, wooden house from overcrowded Tbilisi.
Vision:
This place means a family (or group of people) living in a village.
We love people, good conversations, good food, and some wine along with the music!
Our vision is to bring life back to the forgotten villages in Guria, West Georgia by building a place for a diverse community and agro-ethnic experiences, a place where you always want to return to. We invite guests to stay at our farm, eat fresh organic food farm-to-the-table, take part in agricultural activities: tea picking, taking care of kitchen garden, vineyard, and hazelnut plantation. And to engage in various recreational activities.
We have a historical house with a 1 hectare (10,000 square meters) farm that includes a kitchen garden, indigenous vines, hazelnut plantation, bamboo trees, tea bushes, and even a small rivulet Kikvata.
We plan to grow much more!
We are building various glamping places in the yard.
We need volunteers to help with:
☞ Help with Construction for the following projects: Eco house, Sheds, Storage for Goods
☞ General Maintenance of house and yard
☞ Improving water managment
Special Project:
We have several projects underway at the moment (Spring 2024). We are especially in need of carpenters and woodworkers for work on a hybrid wood/earthen house and our ongoing conversion of three enormous wooden wine barrels into glamping guest rooms. We also have regular work in the garden doing landscape construction, weeding and normal garden things and numerous smaller projects pop up all the time.

There is a beautiful mountain river nearby where u can relax in the hot days.
