Our project, with its deep artistic and cultural value, is designed to attract workawayers who are artists or looking for an inspiring space to create. One of the pillars of our association is to promote cultural production in rural environments, so we strive to organize events that not only enrich the artistic scene, but also weave meaningful links between creators and the local community, thus strengthening exchange and a sense of belonging. What we hope from this exchange is to generate a local and international network around culture and art. Write to us!! :)
Nuestro proyecto, con su profundo valor artístico y cultural, está diseñado para atraer a workawayers que sean artistas o busquen un espacio inspirador para crear. Uno de los pilares de nuestra asociación es impulsar la producción cultural en entornos rurales, por lo que nos esforzamos en organizar eventos que no solo enriquezcan la escena artística, sino que también tejan vínculos significativos entre los creadores y la comunidad local, fortaleciendo así el intercambio y el sentido de pertenencia.

The region of La Vera is a magical place, where nature, history and culture intertwine in a unique way. Its microclimate, softened by the proximity of the Sierra de Gredos, gives rise to a beautiful landscape of crystal-clear gorges, chestnut trees, oak groves and orchards. In addition, its historical legacy can be felt in every corner, from its medieval villages to its centuries-old traditions, such as the production of paprika. It is in this very special environment where our project makes sense. An old renovated tobacco drying shed, our home is a refuge for artists and creatives, and for people committed to wanting to live in a way that respects the environment and nature. La Vera is not only the setting, but also the source of inspiration. We are an artistic residence and we carry out projects related to art and culture. We are Monica and Juan and La Vera is our refuge from the busy life of the city.
La comarca de La Vera, es un lugar mágico, donde la naturaleza, la historia y la cultura se entrelazan de manera única. Su microclima, suavizado por la proximidad de la Sierra de Gredos, da lugar a un paisaje hermoso de gargantas cristalinas, castaños, robledales y huertos. Además, su legado histórico se puede sentir en cada rincón, desde sus pueblos medievales hasta sus tradiciones centenarias, como la elaboración del pimentón.
Es en este entorno tan especial donde nuestro proyecto cobra sentido. Antiguo secadero de tabaco reformado, nuestro hogar es un refugio para artistas y creativo, y para personas comprometidas con querer vivir de forma respetuosa del medio ambiente y la naturaleza. La Vera no es solo el escenario, sino la misma fuente de inspiración.
Somos una residencia artistica y llevamos a cabo proyectos relacionados con el arte y la cultura. Somos Mónica y Juan y la vera es nuestro refugio de la vida ajetreada de la ciudad.

Cooking, cleaning, housekeeping and studying. Garden and orchard care. It is important to have a driving license (automatic car). Support at the association's cultural events. Receiving guests of the residence and accompanying them to the village. Many of the tasks would be done in collaboration with the hosts.
Tareas de cocina, limpieza y cuidado del hogar y estudios. Cuidado del huerto y jardín.
Importante tener licencia de conducir de coche (coche autómatico).
Soporte en los eventos culturales de la asociación.
Recibir huéspedes de la residencia y acompañarles al pueblo.
Varias de las tareas se harían en colaboración con los anfitriones.

Hébergement
Double room with private bathroom, kitchen and small living room inside a renovated old tobacco drying room. We will offer food, or the ingredients for cooking but it won't be always. For sure the weeks without food included, the workawayer will be helping only 15 hours. Part of the tasks of the workawayer could be cooking.

We have bicycles, a yoga mat and a 150 m2 studio to share with other artists where you can practice. We are located in an area with no public transport connection to the village, so you have to drive to get there. From the village, there are several connections to nearby towns and villages. It is essential to have a type B driving license.
Tenemos bicicletas, mat de yoga y un estudio de 150 mq a compartir con otros artistas donde puedes llevar a cabo tu práctica.
Nos encontramos en una zona sin conexión de transporte público hacia el pueblo, para poder llegar hay que conducir. Desde el pueblo, hay varias conexiones a las ciudades y pueblos cercanos.
