Thank you for visiting our profile and taking the time to read about us.
We are a small family of three:
Noah, who is a 5-year-old boy. He is calm, smart, and very curious. He loves reading stories, building things, dressing up, dancing... He is very outgoing and enjoys meeting new people and learning from them.
Elara, who is 3 years old, has a strong personality and is very independent for her young age. She is active; she loves helping with chores, playing with her dolls, and dressing up with her brother to make up stories around the house. At first, she’s a bit shyer than Noah, but once she feels comfortable, she’s very affectionate and expressive.
They both love being outdoors, whether at the beach or in the mountains, enjoying an afternoon on their bikes, or going to the park.
As for me, my name is Jara. I’m a single mom and work as a nurse, so my schedule isn’t fixed. I try to plan the week in advance so that whoever comes to help knows exactly which days I need them and when they’ll have time off. I love listening to music, playing board games, I try to surf, I practice yoga every day, and I work out during the week.
We are looking for someone who is open-minded, enjoys being around children, loves to learn, is proactive, and is willing to help without constant supervision—in other words, someone who takes the initiative. As the person in charge, I will be happy to answer any questions that arise during your stay, but I believe it is important that you do your part so that, together, we can have a pleasant experience.
We value attitude far more than experience.
Interacting with the children: it’s important to understand that children, despite being children, are still little people who feel, think, and experience emotions. The way I raise them is based on fostering their independence, explaining things to them without resorting to punishments or rewards, and limiting screen time to only when absolutely necessary... a respectful upbringing that sets clear, consistent boundaries. Their care focuses on their basic needs and supervising their play.
Living together at home is not a work environment; rather, I believe that since we all live in the same space, we should all contribute to keeping it clean and tidy. The person who comes will have their own room and will share the bathroom with the children.
In addition, what I offer in exchange for volunteering is meals, lodging, and Wi-Fi. You’re welcome to spend your free time with us as long as you’re interested in the activities we do. We live on the coast, so there are plenty of beaches nearby. The city where we live has public transportation (train, bus), so you can visit other nearby cities or towns. There are also museums, shops, and various trails...

Some rules to keep in mind for the safety of the children:

- Make sure to behave appropriately when interacting physically with children
- Ask for permission before posting photos of the children on social media or the internet

- Do not allow children in your room
- Do not show favoritism toward a specific child or give them too many gifts
- Do not give money to children
- Always inform local staff if you witness or suspect inappropriate behavior by other members toward children
- Do not use physical force (such as slapping) with children.
- The children do not eat sugar or watch screens without my supervision or unless I give them permission

Hola! :) Gracias por entrar en nuestro perfil y tomarte el tiempo de leernos.
Somos una pequeña familia compuesta por 3 personas:
Noah, que es un niño que tiene 5 años. Es tranquilo, inteligente y muy curioso. Le encanta leer cuentos, construir cosas, disfrazarse, bailar...Es muy sociable y disfruta conociendo a gente nueva y aprendiendo de ellos.
Elara, que tiene 3 años, tiene una fuerte personalidad y es muy independiente para su corta edad. Es activa, le encanta colaborar en las tareas de casa, jugar con sus muñecos y disfrazarse junto a su hermano para formar historias por la casa. Al principio es algo más tímida que Noah, pero una vez que ya se siente cómoda, es muy cariñosa y expresiva.
A los dos les encanta estar en la naturaleza, ya sea playa o montaña, disfrutar de una tarde con las bicis o yendo al parque.
En cuanto a mí, me llamo Jara, soy madre soltera y trabajo como enfermera, por lo que mis horarios no son fijos, intento organizar la semana con tiempo para que la persona que venga tenga seguro qué dias la necesito y cuando tendrá libre. Me encanta escuchar música, jugar a juegos de mesa, intento hacer surf, practico yoga cada día, y hago ejercicio durante la semana.
Buscamos a alguien con la mente abierta, que le guste estar con niños, aprender, proactivo y dispuesto a ayudar sin instrucciones constantes, esto es, tener algo de iniciativa propia. Como responsable, estaré encantada de resolver las dudas que vayan surgiendo durante la estancia pero creo que es importante que la persona que venga ponga de su parte para, entre todos, tener una bonita convivencia.
Valoramos mucho más la actitud que la experiencia.
El trato con los niños: es importante saber que los niños, a pesar de ser niños, siguen siendo personitas que sienten, piensan y padecen. La educación que les doy está basada en fomentar su autonomía, explicarles las cosas sin falta de castigos o recompensas, nada de pantallas a no ser que sea necesario de forma puntual...una crianza respetuosa pudiendo ponerles límites coherentes. Su cuidado se basa en sus necesidades básicas y la supervisión de su juego.
La convivencia en casa no es un entorno laboral, si no que pienso que si todos vivimos en el mismo espacio, todos debemos contribuir a manterlo limpio y ordenado. La persona que venga tendra su propia habitación y compartira el cuarto de baño con los niños.
Además, lo que ofrezco a cambio del voluntariado es dieta + alojamiento + wifi. Pudiendo pasar el tiempo libre con nosotros siempre que te interesen las actividades que realicemos. Vivimos en la costa, asi que tenemos numerosas playas cerca. La ciudad en la que vivimos cuenta con transporte público (tren, autobus) pudiendo visitar otras ciudades o pueblos cercanos. También hay museos, tiendas, rutas varias...

- certificado de antecedentes penales (solicitado a tu país de origen)
- Asegúrate de tener un comportamiento adecuado al interactuar físicamente con niños
- Pide permiso antes de mostrar fotos de los niños en las redes sociales o en Internet
- No fumes, ni tomes drogas, ni consumas alcohol en el recinto de la organización
- No permitas que haya niños en tu habitación
- No muestres favoritismo por un niño en concreto ni les hagas demasiados regalos
- No des dinero a los niños
- Informa siempre al personal local si presencias o sospechas de un comportamiento inadecuado de otros miembros con los niños
- No uses fuerza física (como abofetear) con los niños.
- Los niños no toman azúcar ni ven pantallas sin mi supervisión o que yo lo deje indicado
