We are an expanding, contemporary non-profit Nepali organisation set up in 2007. We have many interesting and diverse projects aiming to create an inspiring, creative and reflective Nepal. Our key project takes a name which means art in Newari - the local indigenous language of Kathmandu, the overarching non-profit.
Our main agenda is social reform through art. We seek to have our art community be more involved with social issues. We are non-hierarchical, collaborative, change and artivism-focused organisation. Holistic sustainability, which means environmentally, culturally and economically, is very important for us. We support creative and critical thinking, as well as embrace and promote a new Nepal.

We are looking for volunteers to get involved in our various projects
Your role could be to manage / co-ordinate one of our program / projects such as our Art & Book
Cafe, our vibrant Artists Residences program or the development of a Children's Art Camp.
Most importantly we need people with excellent organizational skills, time
management, people skills and of course enthusiasm and sense of fun are
essential! :) An interest in art, programs, healing and culture, especially
learning about nepalese culture is important. Social media skills would be
very helpful as well, for promoting our organization and programs.
We are very open to new ideas and suggestions concerning our projects and
if you’d like to run workshops whilst you are here you are most welcome! :)
Your main task would be structure and manage one of our key
programs/projects in conjunction with the nepali artists, writers and
academics involved here.
This is a comfortable 3 storey home located in Kathmandu’s ex-pat haven. You will have your own private room. Bathrooms with hot water, a washing machine, as well as WiFi are also available. Volunteering here you can experience a perfect combination of inspiration, comfort and warm hospitality!
From here, you have a good access to cafes, art galleries and transport to
anywhere in Kathmandu. You can walk easily around the neighbourhood and discover Patan, also called Lalitpur. Cafes, restaurants, corner stores and a large supermarket are easily reachable. It is also super easy to get taxis from the main road. There is a lot of public transportation, and we can explain that to you when you arrive.
