  Description

  We are Sara and Fabio, born and raised in the city of Genoa up to the age of 25. Experiences, travel, studies and more make us understand that something in our life does not work. So we decide to change, and move to the countryside to resume contact with nature, to find out that there is a different way of living, to learn new things, we experiment, and we start our research between ancient and new knowledge, the degrowth theory, permaculture, the continuous work on ourselves and the environment that surrounds us.
  
  After several years we find ourselves here on a project that embodies our dreams and comes to life through the experiences made so far, we are constantly learning.
  
  We ​​live in close contact with nature, in an ancient farmhouse on the border between Liguria and Piedmont, at the gates of the natural park of the Capanne di Marcarolo on the Ligurian Apennines.
  
  We are looking for people, who like us, find pleasure in a simple life, marked by the rhythms of nature and peasant work. We lead a different way of life, and want to share this with people who possess a positive, practical mentality and have the capacity to enjoy time in nature independently. We believe for yourself, as the workawayer, and for us, it is best if you are motivated by your own projects and philosophy, this way the exchange can be valuable for us all.
  
  The days here are composed of many different jobs, the vegetable garden, the wood, the animals, the progress of the renovation and many other practices that we carry out according to the principles of Permaculture.

  We will be happy to share with our guests the knowledge accquired over the years in the field of green building, natural agriculture, self-production and self-sufficiency.
  
  We both love the area in which we live, an 8000 hectare natural park and we are happy to show those interested in the paths and landscapes of this land.
  
  Our farmhouse is immersed in the woods, reached by four kilometers of dirt road.

  Aide

  In the week we require help with taking care of our animals and our vegetable garden. We have chickens, ducks, sheep, dogs and geese. The work on our farm consists of basic tasks such as feeding animals and cleaning out their huts. The vegetable garden is seasonal so the work depends on the time of year but typically it would be weeding, planting or harvest.
  
  On the weekend, we run a social association, organising food, workshops and presentations. Workawayers will be helping in the kitchen to assist with food preparation and washing dishes.
  
  There is always a place here for skilled people, whether that is in construction, cooking or farm work, or anything else, just let us know!
  
  In our farmhouse we ask for four hours of work in the morning and the rest of the day free, we ask for commitment and seriousness for the hours of work. In return you will have two days off a week, usually Monday and Tuesday, but this can be discussed with us.

  Hébergement

  We offer a small seperate building, fitted with sink and log burner, or if you have a tent or camper, we have space available. We love cooking, in our farm you can try local cuisine with a lot of vegetarian and choice. You are welcome to use the communal kitchen, and we share lunch and dinner together most days.

  We live in a wild area of Piedmont. near the Ligurian border. An amazing area inside a natural park. The nearest city is Ovada, where we would be happy to come and collect you from.
  
  The beautiful city of Genoa can be easily reached in an hour by train. Milan and Tourin can be reached also by train.
