    Description

We’re a couple living in a quiet rural village 70 km south of Sofia, surrounded by nature, hiking trails, and mineral springs. Our home is peaceful, shared with our two dogs and three rescue cats. We live simply and intentionally — vegetarian/pescatarian meals, homemade sourdough, light yoga, and full-body movement are part of our daily rhythm.

We’re currently looking for help with small improvements and garden projects. Our place is equipped with basic household amenities, and we can host you in a tent (we provide gear) or there’s space for a camper van nearby.

We’re also active in youth work and run an NGO focused on creative workshops like trash art and intuitive painting, often at festivals around Bulgaria. We’re in the process of developing Erasmus+ and ESC projects and would love to connect with open-minded, respectful people who enjoy nature, animals, and creative collaboration.

We occasionally visit local mineral springs, markets, and small gatherings in the nearby town — and you’re welcome to join when it fits. If we’re hosting or attending a creative workshop or community event during your stay, you can be part of that experience too.

What we hope to learn from you:
We’re always inspired by new perspectives, new recipes, movement practices, and creative approaches. Whether you’re an artist, builder, digital nomad, nature lover, or just someone curious about alternative living — we’re open to learning from your culture, language, and lived experience.

Our home is a space for exchange, not just work — so we hope you leave feeling nourished, connected, and a little more rooted. We are very open minded towards people from different backgrounds as long as the respect towards our place and ourselves is felt and seen daily.

We’re currently looking for Workawayers who can support us with:
    • Light improvement projects
    • Gardening and outdoor maintenance
    • Occasional help with creative workshop prep (e.g. crafting with recycled materials)

You don’t need to be a pro — just willing to learn, collaborate, and contribute with a positive attitude. We’ll be working together most of the time, and we’re happy to share what we know — whether it’s basic building skills, yoga flows, how to bake sourdough, or even how we run creative workshops and festivals through our NGO.

  • Hébergement

    Hébergement

We offer a clean, safe, and peaceful place to stay in the heart of nature.

    You can choose to:
    • Camp in our yard — we provide tents in different sizes, comfortable mattresses, sleeping bags, blankets, and pillows
    • Park your camper van in front of the house or nearby
    • In warmer months, we can also arrange shaded rest areas or cozy corners for reading and relaxing

There’s access to electricity, clean drinking water, an outdoor shower, and a compost or dry toilet. The setup is simple but comfortable, and we do our best to maintain a clean, cozy, and respectful living space.

🧑‍🍳 We cook fresh vegetarian/pescatarian meals daily and usually eat together. We make our own sourdough bread and enjoy preparing food with love. You’re welcome to share your favorite recipes or help in the kitchen. We avoid alcohol and drugs and ask our guests to do the same while staying with us. Cigarettes are allowed outdoors.

📶 We don’t have a Wi-Fi router at home, but mobile coverage is good in the area. Roaming works well for most visitors, and we can also share our mobile hotspot (unlimited data) if needed for basic online access.

🧺 Laundry can be done by hand at the house, or we can bring it to the city every Monday when we go for errands and groceries — we visit the nearby town at least once a week.

If you’re looking to unplug, ground yourself in nature, and enjoy simple living with warm meals, animals, and meaningful work — you’ll feel right at home here.

🌄 Things to Do in the Area:
    • Kyustendil: Known for its hot mineral springs, Roman ruins, and art museums. You can visit the Hisarlaka fortress, soak in the thermal baths, or enjoy a walk in the city’s beautiful parks.
    • Osogovo Mountain: A bit farther from Kyustendil, perfect for hiking, foraging, or snow activities in winter.
    • Radomir: A quieter town, with nearby lakes and fields for walks, birdwatching, and peaceful nature time.
    • Hiking & nature walks: Directly from our village, you can access local trails, forest paths, and panoramic views of the valley and mountains.
    • Local springs and rivers: Great for cooling off in summer or just spending a quiet afternoon reading and relaxing outdoors.

If you’re creative, you can use the peaceful surroundings to draw, write, play music, or dive into a personal project. We also have some art supplies and books around for inspiration.

This is a place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy a more grounded pace of life — so whether you’re here to help, learn, or just breathe for a while, we hope it will be an enriching experience for both sides.
