Description
We are an italian couple with 2 children aged 3 years and 8 months old (in september 2024). We live on the hills (350mt high) out of Verona, in a village called Mezzane di Sotto.
We live in ‘Contrada’ Corte Calesan, with 2 other families so we share with them a little part of the area, but everyone is independet and very quiet.
We have a dog called Lost of 11 years old, but it thinks to be a small puppy. It’s half Doberman and half Newfoundland.
We are planning to have 3 hens soon, but we don’t have much time to built the henhouse.
We have 1000 mt2 of land with 70 olive trees that we take care and we produce oil from (we also manage other 1000 mt2 with other 70 olive trees of the neighboor)
Last year we started gardening (a very little vegetable garden), but we still have to learn a lot. We have roses, lavanda, lots of aromatics plants, strawberries, flowers...to take care of.
Mezzane di Sotto is a small village with 2 bars, 2 restaurants, a supermarket, the post office, a stationery shop, two swimming pools (one also indoor). We do not have buses reach our house, but there is one reachs the village (n. 123 from Verona train station but there are just 2 courses a day).
Regarding us, we are two fairly quiet people but we like to spend time with the others, sharing experiences, chatting and we like travelling with our van, Spillo. Often we go to Verona’s mountain in the area called Lessinia. We like traditions and local events.
We have an association with another couple and we organize little labs or workshops (for adults and kids) in our garden when we can, because we like to meet people, to learn more, to stay outdoors....
I, Alessia, am a full time mum and I like cooking for my family good food but i’m not a good cook (i have to learn more) and reading about parenthood and education. I travelled a lot in the past but now it’s more difficult with 2 kids.
Marco is a self-employed and he likes spend time gardening, working with wood, built things.
We like to spend time with our kids and we like to learn from them too.
We are open to different cultures because we like to learn more about it and about other people.
We are really glad to host couples (soon we will have a small indipendent studio apartment (our old garage)) or even families (if they come with their own camper we have a space where they can park it but they have to be independent with elettricity).
A the moment we can host people with the tent in our garden.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

In november we are harving the olive trees so we would like to have people helping with it.
In general we are looking for people to help us with:
- the garden (gardening, cutting grass, building the henhouse or other things)
- cleaning the house
- babysitting
- cooking if necessary
- with the social media for our association
and...very important for us: lenguage exchange (english/italian).Langues
Langues parlées
Anglais: IntermédiaireCet hôte propose un échange linguistique
When our first daughter was born I started to speak in English with her, Then, I stopped during the last month of my last pregnancy and I can't find a way to start to speak in English again with them. So, we would like to have the opportunity to speak in English again in our house to let them to learn itHébergement
At the moment we can provide an inflatable matress and blankets in a ex garage changed in a small studio apartment. We still have to finish It dough. In fact there Is not bathroom but we have a chimical wc (that we use it in our van) and for showers you can use the one in the house.
We can also provide a parking for your camper/van, but you have to be independent with elettricity.
We provide and cook the meals (not much meat) but we are also happy to taste and learn new recipes if you like to share it with us.
Remember, you do not have to be afraid of dogs (our dog is big but really friendly...sometimes to much, maybe!) !!Autres infos...
We live in the countryside with no buses reaches our house (just 1 buses - n. 123 - 2 times a day reaches Mezzane di Sotto), so it's much easier to travel with your own car.
We can come to pick you up from the nearby village San Martino Buon Albergo (there are more buses reaches San Martino Buon Albergo from the train station: 120 -121 - 123 -130 - 133 - 134).
We live on the hill, 350mt high and the street from the centre of Mezane di Sotto to our house is very steep.
If you like to walk in the nature nearby there are many paths.Informations complémentaires
