We had Taisa with us in the family for three weeks in 2015 and it was really a wonderful experience, we have been really lucky to have met her.
She is a very polite and friendly girl, but also serious and precise at work. She is also a really good baker and she delighetd us with her cakes...you should try her pancake at least, my favourite

We all enjoyed the time shared with her at home and at work and I would recommend her to any host because surely you will be fine with her.

I spent 3 weeks (10/2015) with retired teacher Gerardo and his family. They did not just give me a volunteering place to stay, but also took me along to their daily life. During this time, I helped with garden (cutting olive trees, cleaning plants, burning branches) and helped to take care of the dogs and other animals. The work was located to the
… read more countryside Calci, and I can't even describe the beauty of that place!! It is simply amazing. The landscape from the hill is something worth to see, especially during the sunset.
For a big bonus, Gerardo teached me many things about herbs and even took me to see local factory of that field.
Gerardo and all his surrounding people (family and the friends I met) are very warm and good people.
I would recommend this place if you prefer to do your work outside and want to have a peaceful, italian countryside experience. This is not a place for busy party life!
If you (possibly workawayer) have something to ask or want to contact me, you are free to do it.
Ps. Florence is quite close. And all other surrounding sweet cities to visit.
