Work as a chef cook in a slowfood restaurant at our awardwinning winery in central Portugal.
Since 1989, our farm is an organic vineyard and hotel awarded with many international awards. Located amidst the vineyards, our restaurant made an amazing debut in 2019, above the winecellar outdoor.
We work with regional and local (slowfood) organic products, respecting nature. We offer a unique gastronomic experience, rather than just serving food.

We are a Dutch couple who moved to Portugal 33 years ago, so we can tell you all about the cultural differences and how it was to integrate here. We have many stories to share on culture, organic farming, entrepreneurship and more. You will also learn a lot about Portuguese organic wines and how we make them.

Vacancy in Portugal - we are looking for a cook!
Starting the new tourist season in April/May 2022, we are looking for a new cook. Candidate profile:
- Experience working as a chef cook
- Gastronomic creativity
- Open, flexible, independent, hospitable attitude, customer-oriented - and above all, kind
- A good level of English or Portuguese (we have Portuguese and international guests)
- Legally allowed to work in Portugal
Offer: 30 h. per week job, with min. Portuguese wages ,accommodation on the farm included. Application deadline: asap!

You will have an apartment on the farm that includes a bathroom. For now it's just for you, but in the future we may welcome more workaway people so it may be that you will share an apartment with them (but we can discuss this, of course let's first talk and get to know each other so we know what is comfortable for you). You can use the restaurant kitchen to cook your own food.
The region where we are located, Sertã (Beira Interior) is very green and beautiful, and not yet 'spoilt' by tourism. You can explore the forests or go to the river where you can swim and do water sports. Tomar is the closest city (1 hour drive), although there are plenty of hamlets (200 meters distance from the farm) villages (2km distance) and towns (8km) around our farm. There is not much public transport near our farm. Long-distance buses depart to Lisbon and other cities from the village that is 2km away from our farm. Occasionally you could borrow our car for exploring the area.
