Hello! We are Tiberiu, Camelia and our little Flora, a young family living in a small village in Romania right at the meeting point of colorful plains and the Carpathian mountains. We are Permaculture designers and we love to experience all kinds of peculiar systems and techniques on our land in the quest for a sustainable lifestyle in harmony with nature.
In our first years we tried all kinds of little permaculture designs and we experimented with perennials plants. But then we feel we are missing something and we wanted to become more serious, like growing food for lots of people. So we started market gardening for 2 years. But then we felt that everything is too square and we are missing the wild experiments. The history of our journey is written on the land and there is still a lot of potential here. This is why we are on our way to transform our project into a open learning lab whose purpose is to gather theoretical info, to put in practice structures and systems and to document the whole process so everybody else can learn from it.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
We are one leg into sustainability and permaculture and the other into Romanian indigenous traditions, holidays, lifestyle. We admire our inherited culture a lot and we can find a lot of similarities with what we want to achieve with permaculture and we are more than happy to share what we feel and know about it.
You will learn about what the countryside lifestyle and work means for us, learning to use mostly manual tools for gardening, cooking vegetarian food and traditional meals.
Depending on your arrival you might be around during intersting workshops and events about permaculture.
We live in a moderately domesticated rural village and the feeling of connection to nature and to people around can be challenging sometimes, far from the ideal wilderness homestead and it is something we can learn together.
We are developing a kind of crowdsources permaculture and indigenous knowledge database along with practical projects so you will be immersed into permaculture stuff ... a lot.
If you want you might be challenged to speak in front of the camera for our youtube channel, write articles about permaulture, organise events and facilitate workshops and other spooky stuff (for introverts like me at least).Projets impliquant des enfants

Welcome to the permaculture Bootcamp!
We are welcoming motivated people who wish to experiment and learn about permaculture with us. Being part of this project is a contribution to popularise and make available a lot of practical information on how to change the world for the better in your own backyard.
We focus on both planing and doing stuff because it is important that our achievements spread across the world. You are going to become part of a global community of change makers. No matter the type of project we are building, the workawayers can choose to become content creators and be tipped for that by contributing in a journal where we document the work process through writing, pictures and sketches the whole process. This require at least a person in the team with a good level of English writing. It is a great opportunity to improve your English level and to become a pro on a specific subject. Any experience in blogging, 3D modelling, hand drawing, photo editing, film making is a big plus.
Helping
Every year we have a list of projects we want to experiment on the land. Some of them require specific skills and knowledge. Others projects require a bit of study in advance before going into action.
In the same time we need to take care of our little farm to feed ourselves, our plants and animals. Secondary tasks will include cooking, gardening, transplanting, harvesting, processing and preserving food, saving seeds, feeding the animals and sometimes babysitting.
An update will be pinned at the beginning of the page describing the projects we prepare for 2022. Chose the one you are the most passionate about. If you are keen to build something that is not on our to-do list, we are open for proposals.
Work
We expect you to work at least 5h/day, 5 days/week but this can vary depending on your objectives and the outcome of our first discussion. Workawayers will have one or two main projects they will focus but also daily routines like cooking, feeding animals, gardening tasks etc. We expect some kind of autonomy after the first few introductory days and by that we mean being able to carry most of the tasks by yourself and get confortable with the place.Langues parlées

Eating
Regarding the food, we're eating mostly vegan and vegetarian meals, depending on what is currently growing in the garden. Please let us know if you have any specific diet. We appreciate if you can cook for everybody from time to time.Autres infos...
We are located at one hour from Bucharest and the access is pretty good. Otopeni airport is located at approximately 1h from us. If you chose to come to us by train from Bucharest North Train Station, you will find a lot of trains to Ploiesti city ,which is really close to us too, but from there you have to take a bus to our village. Also there is a train from Bucharest to the nearby village, which is 3 minutes from us by car. We will get you once you arrive to Ploiesti or the nearby village so don't worry. From here there are a lot of possibilities for hitchhiking in the hills and mountains around or even travel a bit around in your free time. We have the famous Prahova Valley at only 40 minutes by car and we have Bucharest at one hour from our place. A lot of interesting events taking place in Bucharest like ecstatic dance, Playfigh, festivals, concerts. We're pretty close to the sea too, at only 3-4 hours. You won't get bored if you'll want to travel around.

Tibi and Cami are very humble and lovely beings. They like to share what they learned on their life path and they like to listen too. I felt welcomed in their house.
