Description
We have a lifestyle block in Canterbury New Zealand. My husband Henry works full time and I work part time.
Commute to Christchurch from here is 45 minutes to Rangiora 20 minutes and Oxford 10 minutes.
We have two daughters living away from home. Henry and I are aged between 60yrs & 67yrs. Henry speaks English and I speak English and Hungarian. We love sharing our lives with our friends & family.
We can offer a warm comfortable home environment for your stay in exchange for work. Gardening, digging, planting, painting, general tidy up on property, some house work and a small amount of cooking.
On the farm we have chicken, cattle, horses, cats & dogs. The care for our animals comes first, we treat them well, they are very health and well cared for.
Henry and I have both traveled a lot over seas and know that animal welfare is not a big priority in most countries, with us, it is. Also we are clean and tidy people.
If you can respect our home in that manner, we would be happy to share it with you for a short time.
We would prefer having a couple stay with us.
Do you think you could put up with waking up every morning to a beautiful view of snow capped mountains in the back ground.

We stayed 2 weeks with Erika and Henry, the work was good, Erika was preparing wonderful meals. On the other hand, the family asked us to leave overnight for a misunderstanding, and without explanations.
Too bad because we wanted to spend more time with them...

Found a lovely place and lovely people when I was looking for shelter. I felt a bit at home immediately. Erika, Henry and Lisa are great people and I enjoyed my stay with them. Waking up seeing the mountains, feeding the horses and being greeted by Flo and Major, the two dogs, was awesome. I am definitely coming back soon!

We had Josefine with us for 2 weeks, for a young lady she was very able and eager to help with all tasks. She did a great job looking after our animals, garden & home. Plus Josefine's English is excellent.

Her English was excellent, her cooking to die for.

Akiko is one beautiful person, helpful, caring & honest.
Very hard working, no matter what you ask of her, she will do her best, plus.
Her English is exceptional.
We have opened our home to her as a base while she is in NZ.

We had Anisha stay with us for about 3 weeks. What an amazing young lady she is.
Always willing to help in house on the farm and with the animals.
