Description
I have an English school in Ilhabela, located on Brazil's south coast.
I live in the same building and the atmosphere is a mixture of a school and a family house by the sea.
We've had many people from different countries through Workaway and other platforms, and it has been a vibrant experience.
In 2022 we will also need a lot of help with house maintenance, mainly painting walls, doors, windows, gardening, etc.

Aide
We need English native speakers to take part in activities at school and socialize with students. Doing art, cooking, yoga, music lessons, hiking together or even taking students to the supermarket would be fantastic!
We're also looking for some help with the maintenance of the house, such as painting walls, door, windows, gates, furniture, and other jobs around the house.
We live in a central area, with all kinds of facilities around. The Island is a paradise with many waterfalls, beaches, trails to explore during the day. In the evening there are nice bars, cafés, restaurants and live music. You can also practice some yoga, capoeira, stand-up surfing, and all types of water sports.
Breakfast, lunch and an evening snack will be provided during the week. On weekends only breakfast. However, the kitchen is always open for cooking.
Volunteers have free weekends to enjoy the island.

Ilhabela (Portuguese for Beautiful Island) is an archipelago and city situated 4 miles off the coast of São Paulo state in Brazil. The largest island, although commonly called Ilhabela, is officially named Ilha de São Sebastião (St. Sebastian Island). It, the other islands (Búzios, Pescadores and Vitória) and the islets (Cabras, Castelhanos, Enchovas, Figueira, Lagoa and Serraria) make up the municipality of Ilhabela.
The islands in total cover 348 km2.To access the city, one must take a boat or ferry in São Sebastião, as there are no roads which reach it.
