  Living in the jungle, its impossible not to learn. Adding in all the challenges of horse care, balanced with a raw beauty and freedom of riding on the beach provides such an incredible healthy lifestyle. Waking up early and being outdoors playing with these beautiful creators is one of the most unique ways to pass time.

  Aide

  I am looking for a volunteer/volunteers to help care for and prepare horses for tours during the day. The pasture land is about a 20 minute walk to the stables and the horses need to be brought down from their hillside pasture to the stables daily for feeding/ care and tours. Volunteers can walk up to bring them down while enjoying a bareback ride through a beautiful jungle trail. Volunteers will be responsible for moving horses to and from pasture and helping out with feeding and general care, as well as brushing and helping to prepare for tours.
  
  This is a working business with tour guides, but volunteers will be doing the feeding and general upkeep of the horses and mostly responisble for bring horses down in the mornings and up to their field in the afternoons. We currently have 5 working horses and one which is boarding.
  
  You have alot of freedom with this position. You can join tours if possible and on free time do short rides. The beach is about 300m from the stables.
  
  We are located in the town of playa chiquita / cocles, but Puerto Viejo (a bigger town) is just 5 km away.

  Hébergement

  I can provide a room with multiple beds (if more than one person) in Punta Uva. The bathroom and kitchen is shared with a family and I also live on the property. I can provide a bicycle to ride to the stables or help transportation with my scooter/ and other people driving in that direction. The distance from the house to the stables is 2.5 km on a completly flat road, so biking only takes 20 min.

  Our feeding schedule allows practically the entire day free. The beach is directly across the street down a little path and one of the best beaches on the whole coast. The more popular surfing beach is about 3km away. Some bars and restaurants in Playa Chiquita, but more in Puerto Viejo. Bikes are included!
