We are a community-based organization on the Thai-Myanmar border that was set up in 2002 by graduates of a school in Myanmar. The purpose of the center is to help the Karenni people who have suffered human rights abuses, promote non-violent efforts to build a new society by educating Karenni young people who live in the nearby refugee camp and Karenni State. Our students are 35 young adult Karenni refugees who are eager to learn English and improve prospects for the future.
