Description
Hi, I am Chloe and I live in Frome in beautiful Somerset, South West England. I live with my 9 year old son Xavier who loves Lego, martial arts, computer games and playing outside with his friends. We live in a lovely cottage in a small and friendly cul-de-sac with neighbours and other children frequently popping in.
My son is at school during the week and I work part-time at a local community sauna and as a writer. I am looking for workaways who can help out with childcare including cooking twice a week and light cleaning around the house. Childcare will include babysitting at least one night a week and occasional weekends. If you love cooking that is a bonus!
I am ideally looking for Workaways that can stay for at least one month and can build a positive relationship with my son who has lots of energy and creative imagination. You need to be fluent enough in English to play with him. Please ensure that you have all the correct visas and travel documents for coming to the UK.
You will be expected to help out for 20 -25 hours per week and we can work out a schedule that works for everyone. There will be occasional weekend support needed which we will work out together in advance and which will not add any additional hours.
Frome is a beautiful town with an alternative edge close to the towns of Bath, Bristol and Glastonbury. There is always a lot going on and other workaways in the area that I can introduce you to. I have had digital nomads staying before and the double bedroom has a desk and good wi-fi connection.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Frome is a great place to come on cultural exchange as there is a lot going on. A workaway will get to experience living in a small and friendly community town which is typical of the English countryside. There are lots of historic sites to visit nearby and it is possible to get out for walks as well. Frome has good transport links to the towns of Bath and Bristol and the iconic town of Glastonbury is nearby.
In Frome there are lots of community events happening, gyms, yoga classes, meditation etc. I can also offer a bike to workaways if they like to cycle and explore.
I love speaking different languages (I speak some French and Portuguese) and am happy to help travellers with their English language if needed. There will also be the opportunity to gain experience of working with children and cooking/meal planning.Aide « au pair »
This host has let us know they’ll be complying with UK regulations for au pair stays.

Autres infos...
Frome is a great place to stay. We have quite an alternative community and there are plenty of yoga classes, meditation sessions, ecstatic dances and other workshops happening all the time. We have a small market in town every Wednesday and Saturday and a big market for independent sellers once a month. The house is just 5 minutes from Frome train station where there is also a curry place, pizza place, community venue and bar running on the weekends. We are about 12 minutes walk from the town centre and there are two large supermarkets close by to buy food. Towns nearby include Bruton, Bath and Bristol which are accessible by regular train and buses. There are also nearby country walks to enjoy and Workaways are welcome to use my pedal bike to get around if they wish.
This is my first workaway experience and I am excited to see how it goes. In my home I expect people to be respectful and age appropriate around my son. Also to respect our need for quiet evenings so no parties or late night guests. This is a non-smoking home.Informations complémentaires

I have a working Internet connection in my home and there is a desk in the bedroom that people can use to work. I do turn off the Wi-Fi at night or trust whoever goes to sleep last to turn it off before bed.
