We are currently implementing estate wide permaculture solutions on a 1000 acre estate. Our current project is the launching of a 7 acre community supported agriculture scheme that will provide vegetables and educational activities for local schools, community growers and surrounding villages. The scheme is utilising no dig, biodynamic principles along side many other cutting edge agricultural techniques.

The place is a beautiful estate on the banks of the river Avon. As well as an opportunity to enjoy the nature and history here we have several pioneering schemes, as well as renewable energy, tiny housing and educational projects to get involved with.
We are creating a more permanent, ongoing community based around the gardens. Throughout the summer months, we'll be using an off-grid field camp of bell tents, a community yurt, and an on-grid cooking/washing pod to accommodate the team. We'll be staying here while we plant up the gardens and create more permanent structures to enable us to live in ecocentric splendor. These are to include a reciprocal roofed community shelter, a pizza oven, a straw bale barn, an underground greenhouse/wallapini, and a veg shack. For now, at least, expect no luxuries - expect to live on the land, from the land and in rhythm with the season. This way of life is not for everyone, it may be for you and if so we're really happy to welcome you!
The help is varied but is usually working with the community in a sustainably managed garden. We use no dig, biodynamic and permaculture methods. We often run workshops and classes on various related topics as well as beekeeping, mushroom production and other such activities. Ideally we'd like guests to stay for longer than 2 weeks to make training effective, but suggest a one week review to allow either party to end the arrangement if they choose.
We ask that you join in with team activities for a minimum of 4 days out of 7 - you can decide which days to suit your schedule. On other days you will still be expected to join in with domestic tasks, but otherwise, you can join group activities or entertain yourself. The area has some great walks and a few historic towns close by.
We will do a mix of eating together and self-catering. On some evenings we'll serve a meal from the horsebox kitchen, and others you can pick some produce from the gardens and create a meal for yourself or with other community members.

As well as the beautiful walks available on the estate we also have some bicycles you can borrow, there are some nice small villages such as Crick and towns such as Lutterworth. Rugby is the nearest trainstation (you would need to get a taxi as there are no busses) You can book cheap train tickets to London online leaving from Rugby.
