Description
I'm looking for a motivated and responsible, super-crazy-doglover, who is very confident taking care of and walking four medium/large sized dogs, and a cheeky chihuahua. I also have snakes and snails but they are very low maintenance.
I live in a two-bed flat in East Edinburgh. It's approximately 20 mins on the bus into town, depending on traffic, 3 miles from Portobello Beach, and 2 miles from Holyrood Park. I live a few minutes’ walk from a lovely park where the dogs are walked. There are smaller grocery shops at the end of my street, and larger supermarkets a couple of miles away.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

You get to hang out with a load of awesome but crazy dogs who like attention and think they are lap dogs. They are happiest when someone is at home with them. I am a New Zealander living in Scotland who is happy to talk about either country.

I'm looking for a friendly and responsible person to look after the house and animals when I'm away. The dogs like to have a couple of walks a day and eat their meals on time. A minimum length walk is 10 minutes. The dogs have a walk and their breakfast at 7am, a walk or garden time at 12-1pm, a walk or garden time and dinner at 5pm, and garden time at bedtime (9pm earliest).
All five dogs are never walked at once, they go out in smaller groups. You will need to make sure they have water in their water bowls throughout the day. You will also need to vacuum every few days to keep the dog hair levels down, do your dishes, and clean up after yourself.
As well as the dogs, I have nine snakes (cute and harmless) who don't require any interaction other than making sure they have water, and two snails, who need feeding every couple of days and misting daily. I will teach you about snake and snail husbandry, so this is a good opportunity for you to increase your knowledge and skills.Langues parlées

You'll have the guest room with a comfy double bed. You are welcome to sit with the dogs in the lounge (which they prefer!), use the dining room table, and use the kitchen. There is high speed WIFI available too.

I’m looking for someone who is kind, genuinely helpful, and willing to do their best. It’s important that you can follow instructions for the animals and treat my home and belongings with respect. Since there are quite a few animals here, good communication makes everything run smoothly. I carefully consider every application, and we’ll have a video call first so we can get to know each other and make sure it feels like a good fit for both of us.
Edinburgh is a great city to experience at any time of the year, even in the dark of winter, and it's fairly easy to work around the dogs so you can go sightseeing or go out in the evening. In Dec and Jan, there's the Edinburgh Xmas festival and Hogmanay, with an xmas market and other events in town.Informations complémentaires
