    Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre

Staying with us is about more than just helping on the farm, it’s about sharing stories, skills, food, and ways of living. We enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and creating a relaxed, friendly environment where everyone feels welcome.

Cultural exchange at our place may include:

🥗 Sharing meals, recipes, and food from your culture (we love learning new dishes)

🌱 Exchanging gardening and sustainability knowledge — what grows where you’re from, traditional planting methods, composting ideas, etc.

🔥 Evenings around the fire, chatting, listening to music, or sharing travel stories

🧘 Opportunities for yoga, meditation, or wellness practices if you’re interested (or sharing your own)

🌍 Conversations about travel, life paths, and different ways of living around the world

We value kindness, respect, and open communication, and aim to create a space where people feel comfortable being themselves while contributing to a shared way of living.

Whether you’re passing through or staying a little longer, we hope you’ll leave not just rested, but feeling connected, inspired, and part of the farm community while you’re here.

The help is light, casual farm help focused on maintaining our organic gardens and caring for the property. Tasks will vary depending on the day, weather, and season, and we keep things flexible and fair.

    Typical tasks may include:
🌱 Planting, weeding, mulching, and general garden maintenance
🥕 Harvesting vegetables and fruit from the orchards
🐓 Feeding and checking on the chickens, collecting eggs
🍯 Assisting with basic beehive area upkeep (no beekeeping required unless you’re interested)
🍃 Composting, watering, and maintaining garden beds
🧹 Light tidying of outdoor areas and shared spaces
🔧 Very basic maintenance tasks (painting, simple repairs, setting up garden beds, fencing prep, etc.)
We’re not looking for builders or heavy labour — just people who are happy to get their hands a little dirty and help keep the farm running smoothly.

    👩‍🌾 Who This Suits Best
This opportunity is ideal for people who:
Enjoy being outdoors and working with plants
Are reliable and happy to show up for agreed work times
Can work independently after being shown what to do
Respect an eco-friendly lifestyle (water use, composting, minimal waste)

Experience with gardening or farms is a bonus but not required , we’re happy to teach and explain tasks. A positive attitude and willingness to help are far more important.

Workaway hours are around 2 hours per day, 5 days per week, leaving you plenty of time to explore waterfalls, beaches, and the Sunshine Coast.

You’ll be staying in a private double room within a converted shed, offering a simple, cosy, and peaceful space surrounded by nature. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys eco-style living with a bit of comfort and privacy.

    Your space includes:

🛏 Private double bedroom with comfortable bed

🛋 Lounge area to relax, read, or unwind after the day

🍳 Basic kitchen setup with fridge and electric cooker for self-catering

🚻 Compost toilet (eco-friendly and easy to use)

🚿 Hot outdoor shower, perfect after a day on the farm or a swim at the waterfalls

The accommodation is separate from the main house, giving you your own space while still being part of the farm environment. It’s peaceful, surrounded by gardens and trees, and you’ll often hear birds and wildlife rather than traffic.

This setup suits guests who are comfortable with a rustic, sustainable lifestyle and appreciate being close to nature, while still having the basics needed for a comfortable stay.

    Autres infos...

Minimum stay: We prefer a minimum stay of 1–2 weeks, as it allows time to settle in, learn the routines, and be part of the farm. Longer stays are welcome for the right fit.

Transport: Having your own car is very helpful, as public transport is limited and we are in a semi-rural area. That said, we are close to Yandina town and sometimes able to help with occasional lifts depending on schedules.

Lifestyle & Environment: This is a quiet, peaceful property focused on sustainable living and respect for nature. We value calm energy, mindfulness, and clear communication. It’s not a party house, and we aim to keep the environment relaxed and respectful for everyone.

Weather & Conditions: Work is mostly outdoors, so you’ll need to be comfortable with heat, humidity, and getting a bit dirty. Please bring suitable clothing, closed shoes, hat, and sunscreen.

Internet & Phone: Mobile reception is generally good. Internet may be limited or not suitable for heavy streaming or remote work — best for basic communication.

Food: This is a self-catering arrangement. You’re welcome to enjoy some seasonal produce and eggs from the farm when available, and Yandina has shops and markets for groceries.

Animals & Wildlife: Besides chickens and bees, you’ll see plenty of local wildlife. If you’re sensitive to insects, frogs, or geckos, please keep this in mind — it’s part of country living.

Health & Safety: We’ll always explain tasks clearly and provide what you need to work safely. Please let us know of any injuries, allergies, or limitations so we can adjust tasks if needed.

We’re looking for people who are reliable, respectful, and genuinely interested in farm life and cultural exchange, and we do our best to create a welcoming, supportive experience in return.

    Possibilité d’accueillir les digital nomads

We’re happy to host digital nomads, as long as work commitments can comfortably fit around the farm help. ⏰ Work Schedule: Farm help is around 2 hours per day, 5 days per week, and we’re flexible with timing. Tasks can usually be done in the morning or late afternoon, leaving the rest of the day free for online work, exploring, or relaxing. 📶 Internet Access: There is no dedicated high-speed Wi-Fi in the accommodation, and our internet is not suitable for video calls or heavy remote work. 👉 You will need your own mobile data / hotspot if you plan to work online. Mobile reception is generally good, and most guests manage fine using their own data plans. 🪑 Work Space: The accommodation has a small table and lounge area that can be used as a simple workspace, but it’s best suited to light laptop work, not full office setups. 🔌 Power: Standard power is available for charging devices and running basic appliances. 🔇 Environment: The setting is quiet and peaceful, which many people love for focused work, but you may hear natural farm and wildlife sounds (birds, frogs, rain on the roof, chickens, etc.). As long as you can manage your own connectivity and are able to commit reliably to the agreed farm hours, this setup can work well for digital nomads wanting a nature-based lifestyle while working online.

  • Espace pour garer des vans

    Espace pour garer des vans

In addition to room accommodation, we can also host campers, vans, and small motorhomes, with space to park on the property in a peaceful, natural setting. What we offer for campers: ⚡ Powered sites available (access to electricity for charging devices and running small appliances) 🌿 Flat, grassy areas suitable for vans and small motorhomes 🚿 Access to the hot outdoor shower 🚻 Use of the compost toilet 🧺 Access to basic washing facilities (by arrangement) 🌳 Quiet surroundings close to gardens and orchards Please note this is a working hobby farm, not a commercial campground, so facilities are simple but comfortable and designed for people who enjoy eco-style, low-impact living. Good to know: Vans should be self-contained where possible, but basic amenities are provided. Larger motorhomes may need to check access suitability in advance. We ask all campers to respect quiet hours, shared spaces, and the natural environment. This option is great for travellers already set up for van life who want a relaxed farm base close to waterfalls, beaches, and town while enjoying a genuine cultural exchange experience.
