We had Francesco stay with us 2 months ago. He was a wonderful worker and fitted easily into the family. We had planned to put up a fence with his help but unfortunately that did not happen due to ordering delays. He ended up helping us with transporting gravel in buckets and digging, which was hard labour and not much fun but he was wonderful and
… read more just got on with it. His English improved a lot over the week. He is a lovely, intelligent, quiet but very friendly young man. Very recommendable!

I stayed with Eileen and Thomas from 1st to 14th February. I had a wonderful time. They accommodated me very well like there own child. I worked with them together in their garden cutting trees, building a fence and a carpark. The work was very exciting. They also told me a lot of their live, about their trips and their future plans. Michael stayed with us for 10 days. He was brillant. He did far more than either my husband and I expected him to do and even extended his stay by a day in order to finish what he had started. He has an extraordinary work ethic and ensured that everything he did was done to a fantastically high standard. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is
… read more honest, friendly, hard- working and delightful to have stay. I found it hard to stop him from working. He transformed our garden as he cut down over 50 trees, dug out the roots, put in a carpark and put up a fence. He is a real gem.
We have adopted him as part of our small family and we will miss him. I hope he fulfils his dream of travelling the world.

Ryan and Holly were our first workaways. They were fabulous and fitted in really well. They entertained me on a daily basis by singing (or rather trying to), while they scraped away at the wallpaper. I would sign them up for a singing gig any day due to the entertainment factor alone. Lyrics all seemed to be about wallpaper and scraping and little
… read more to do with the original words at all. They worked like little beavers and spent many hours chatting in the evenings and playing board games with us...Their skills at that were on a par with their singing. (no...in actual fact I would watch out for Holly...she is a dark horse). We had a ball with them. Made us happy to do this again. I wish them all the best for their plans in the future

Stayed with Eileen and Thomas in over Easter!
They were fantastic hosts and made us feel right at home, conversation flowed easily, good food and lots of fun.... Make sure you play the truck game and don't let Thomas win!
The work we did was mostly scraping wallpaper, though I don't think there's much left for anyone else!

Gail & Peter are wonderful. They are the typical hardworking, "i'll give anything a go" type people. They work hard, & achieve everything without hesitation. … read more best at 'Auf Achse' (lol) but avid scrabble players and boy can Pete sing! It seems that Gail has a true green thumb as she transformed our garden in two days. I particularly loved the fact that they fitted in so well around us and that I got to enjoy such wonderful company...and speak English again. We would recommend them to anyone. Eileen and Thomas

Gail and I had the pleasure of meeting and staying with Eileen and Thomas in their gorgeous house which they are doing a great job of renovating and modernising.
The accommodation is very comfortable and Eileen makes sure you have all you need.
