Description
We are a couple in our 70s and have built an Australian Colonial style house on 200 acres of grazing country in the beautiful Araluen Valley. Our house is completely off the grid with our own solar batteries and panels and own water supply. We have established peach and plum trees as our land used to be a fruit orchard. We always need help with our flower and vegetable gardens and with landscaping, planting and looking after trees and general tidying. You will have your own room and bathroom and a shared kitchen. Toni is a retired Food Technology and Community and Family Studies teacher and Richie is a retired cabinet maker. We enjoy spending time with younger people and exchanging stories and wisdoms. Our interests include European and Australian history, current affairs and politics.

If you prefer to be flexible, you will need your own car as there is no public transport. The closest bigger town is Braidwood and has lots of nice cafes and antique shops. Bateman's bay ( south coast NSW ) is 1.5 hours away.
Canberra and Goulburn are each 1.5 hours away and Sydney is 3.5 hours away, (all by Car)
