Description
I have a small holding in the Algarve (Near to Alte). The area here is stunningly beautiful, clean and fairy rural, set in the hills about a 25mins from the coast (Albufeira) where beaches abound.
Weather is generally great and the place has a lovely pool to be enjoyed by workaways.
Your accommodation would be clean and comfortable.
A single or couple would be fine. There are single and double bedrooms as suits. My partner comes here often, but her work is in England so she is also often away.
I`m looking for about 5hrs work a day , but that might include me asking you to do lunch or the evening meal (food provided) rather than always cooking myself, which I`d happily count as work time.
I`m easy going, friendly, I generally enjoy meeting new folks and like to let people get on with it and enjoy themselves. I like people who make an effort to muck in, regardless of skills.
So. If you enjoy hands on work, a relaxed rural environment and sunshine (Only 300days per year so obviously I can`t guarantee....) then this is a wonderful place to enjoy some time.
I don`t plan on playing Taxi, but happy to pick you up/drop you off at Airport if that makes sense.

I love to meet folks from all cultures. I like hearing about their life experience and their views of the world.
The area of Portugal where I am located has its own rich history and with transport its easy to explore it around here.
Aide
There are orange trees, lemon trees, figs, Carobs, Pomegranates, Almonds and Walnuts but I don`t take the farming to seriously. But I do have a constant list of `handyman` / `gardening` type jobs to do around the property and although I quite enjoy them, I`m slowing down a little and in any case, I much prefer to work with others rather than complete them all alone.
So I`m looking for folks who are happy to muck in on a variety of jobs from painting to clearing the farm. There`s something for everyone here, even if it ranges from basic housework through to construction (if I have a project on). You may be working on your own, or with others, depending on whats to be done.
So, depending on your skills, I`ll find something for you.

Hébergement
The House and the rooms in which you will stay are clean, comfortable, well maintained. There is a large and clean swimming pool with great views of the farm.
Food will be provided, but you may will likely be expected to cook/ wash up at times.
Since the property is a bit rural transport might an issue. If you intend to travel around the area you should plan accordingly.

There is a variety of things to do in the Algarve. Something for everyone. Including great Markets, Castles, Beaches, Clubs, walks, sailing, scuba and on and on. The caveat is transport.
There is a bus service running past the house but I would suggest this is no way to see the area, so if you want to travel about this is something you will need to consider.
The only house rule. Lights out at Midnight here. House quiet until 8am earliest.
