Description
Come ski/snowboard in the mountains of Japan!
We run a small lodge in the mountains of Gunma, Minakami. Minakami is a mountain town about 1 hour away from Tokyo by train. It is famous for year round outdoor activities especially ski/snowboard, rafting, and canyoneering. It has bars and restaurants and a great community of Japanese and foreigners who love nature and the outdoors. It is centrally located with a train/bullettrain station offering easy access to other ski towns or famous places like Tokyo and Kyoto.
We are offering free accommodation and 900 - 1,500 yen per hour depending on experience and how long you intend to stay.

My wife an I purchased and renovated the lodge ourselves. You can learn about running a lodge, art, DIY, woodwork, home renovation, and japan style mountain life.

Aide
We mainly want help with cleaning the lodge between guests. We usually only have guests on the weekend, so you will have most weekdays to ski/snowboard , explore our area, or take the train to different parts of Japan. If you want to make extra money during the week then we can always use help with maintenance projects or around the house.

Hébergement
Our lodge is divided into lodging space and staff living space. We live in the house next door and there is no other staff, so you will have a bedroom, bathroom, shower and large kitchen to yourself. We also have a 2 seat kei truck that you can drive if you have an international drivers permit.
