We are a certified organic dairy farm located in Swan Reach, Victoria Australia. Our farm is 500 acres, we milk up around 100 cows and run free range chickens, ducks and geese and have a small flock of sheep & 2 friendly goats. We also have 4 dogs and many cats.
We are looking for someone who is happy to do housework (cleaning, vacuuming, washing windows etc), gardening (weeding, spreading mulch, mowing), collecting the eggs and occasionally cooking for our family if you like to cook.
Some farm work and general maintenance may also be required.
Help with wrapping and labelling soap and bathbombs is sometimes also needed. As well as occasionally attending local markets to help with setting up our stall. 4 hours work per day. Help is also sometimes needed with animal feeding our other animals.
We prefer a minimum stay of 1 week with long term stays also available for the right person.
Accommodation during your stay with us is a comfortable caravan. The kitchen and bathroom are located in the house.
You are welcome to help yourself to breakfast and lunch and are invited to share the evening meal with our family.
We are 2 minutes walk from the Tambo River and also close to the ocean at Lakes Entrance and the lakes in Metung.
Gippsland is a beautiful region well worth exploring.

Due to change of laws as of of 31 August 2015 we are no longer able to sign second year visas.
We are close to beaches and some beautiful villages, with Metung, Bruthen and Lakes Entrance all within a 15 minute drive.
Our farm backs onto the state forest and we are positioned in a beautiful part of the country with some gorgeous views, and only a few minutes walk to the Tambo River.
Trains leave Southern Cross station in Melbourne and come direct to Bairnsdale where we are happy to collect you from the station.
There is a bus stop 2 minutes down the road, but a car would definitely be a bonus for exploring the area.

We have 2 options available for volunteers wanting to stay on our farm.
Option 1 - looking for someone who is happy to do housework (cleaning, vacuuming, washing windows etc), gardening (weeding, spreading mulch, mowing) and occasionally cooking for our family. Help with wrapping and labelling soap and bathbombs is sometimes also needed. As well as attending local markets to help with setting up our stall.
Option 2 - someone willing to stay long term and learn to feed that calves, pigs, chickens, ducks, sheep and goats. Hose down the dairy. Mow lawns and maintain the vegetable garden. (Current driving licence required, must be honest, reliable and have a genuine love for animals).
