Laissé par l'hôte pour le workawayer (Erina)
Erina is a lovely, gentle person, a real delight to host. She stayed for a week, and helped mostly by repairing and painting an old shelf unit for the kitchen, but also with cleaning and preparing some windows for putty and draft excluder and helping me to lay mosaics on the wall in the kitchen well into overtime to get it finished!
She is quiet,
… read more discreet, and always smiling. We struck up a good friendship and went several times to the seaside together.
Good luck with future travels, and do come and see me again!

Anne's French home is in the beautiful village of La Cadiere d'Azur, surrounded by woods & vineyards. She is working on two ambitious renovation projects: one for the converted Olive mill, and one for her mother's old house a few steps away. In our short stay we helped with beam sanding, beam woodworm treatment, taking out old bathroom & kitchen
… read more fittings, paint removal, bathroom fitting & draught insulation. We also enjoyed taking Balu the dog for walks/runs and housesitting overnight so she could visit her daughter. On days off (including Xmas Day) Anne took us out for some lovely beach, hill & woodland walks, (which Balu also enjoyed). Anne particularly needs the help of people with good building skills (including plumbers & electricians) so if you have these (or are just prepared to get stuck into building/maintenance tasks) we recommend you contact her to offer your support.Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Jane and Iain were great, they helped with many different tasks. Jane courageously tackled some serious jobs such as treating the beams in the cellar, sanding beams in the kitchen, and sanding outside steps, until rain called off play. Iain was a great help with the plumbing, dismantling old taps and improving their working, taking out some sinks
… read more and an old water heater, and removing tiles, pipes etc. Jane would go running early most mornings, come rain or shine, and take Balu the dog with her, who of course was delighted. Unfortunately it was a rather cold, inhospitable time of year, but we would collect firewood for the open fire, and spent evenings around the fire, putting the world to rights. I wish you all the best with your future projects, wherever they take you!Photos
