In this moment we don`t stay at the farm, because we are studying. But our friend David are living in our house. He isn't responsible for the volunteerproject but he agreed to support volunteers, who will come and stay in the volunteer house on our land. this is a very simple one, but has electricity and water from a rain tank.

Farming on an Ecologic Project
We are a little foundation . Our members are from Colombia, France and Germany. We work on different subjects, like education, organic production and the cultivation of ancient knowledge and celebrations.
2012 we started the construction and the farming on our land in the Florida. this is a one hectar area, there we start to build with the natural material number one in our region: La guadua - also known as bamboo. Furthermore we are in the process of a permaculture planning for the hole community and the experimentation with diferent plants und organic products. In this moment we have Platano, Yuca, Maísn and Frijoles. (Bananos, Beans, Yuca, Corn)
The farm is 45 Minutes from Pereira and you can reach it directly with a transport at 10am and 4.40 pm from Pereira - "Transporte Florida".
The farm is also 20 minutes from the little touristic town LA FLORIDA, wich is the last village on the way up to the mountains and to the national park "Los nevados". Here are a lot of alternative movement of thinking, living, art and music. Also you can find internet, food and traditional colombian dishes like trouts with garlic.

In the house is living our friend DAVID. He is a very friendly person, who speaks english and is very interested in persons from other parts. Also the sector LA FLORIDA is a very friendly part of the "outback" of Pereira with a lot of sharming little "tiendas", a lot of artists and people, who are thinking in diferent kind of life. So after some days there, you will feel like home.
Works on the farm are typical things to start farming. We need to construct a compost system, an entrance, pronging and make better the water system and the house equipment. Also construction labors are needed.

We have now a little Guaduahouse to stay (for hammock, tent, sleeping back and sleeping pad) . There is only water from a rainbasket, a gas stove and there is a toilet in the outside. Because the farm is very young, we don´t can offer a big amount of accommodation. To bath is a little stream crossing the farm or a little shower and if the sun is shining you can get warm water.
The work is independent, so you can decide how much you want to work and in which time.
We look for people, who want to work and stay a while by themselves, because we are still not living on our farm. Our friend DAVID is living there but has no much knowlegde about farming, but more than anybody about the cultural and artistic offers of the place.
So Micha tries to give workinstructions directly to DAVID but in the end you have to see and to plan mostly by yourself. the main idea is to stop the grass growing to much and to start to plant food, like maiz, frijol, auyama, papas, yuca, platano and so on, so that step by step we can use the plants from the farm to eat.
Also it could be good, if you find ideas by yourself and try to make them real.
