  Description

  we are a retired dutch couple. 2 years ago we decided to look for a country house in Italy and we found our home in Umbria, near Nocera Umbra and Assisi. we decided to live here permanently.and for us it's paradise! as well as for our 2 female, sterilized, dogs Luna and Lea, they are 16 months young and recognized for their truffle hunting instinct: lagotto romagnolo.however, we didn't train them because there are many truffle hunters around and we don't want to get in their way. they do love to dig holes and chase little lizards, which keeps them endlessly busy during the day. we keep them inside the house during the evening and night; by that time the are exhausted anyway.
  our Umbrian stone house is detached, we live in the upper part and the lower part is for our guests or workaways. the next-door neighbors are about 500 meters away. there is a small swimming pool.
  it is very quiet here apart from the birds chirping and the sound of the little stream( dry in summer) and the occasional sounds of farmers sawing wood etc. the nearest little town to go shopping is Nocera Umbra, 8 kilometers or Gualdo Tadino where you can find everything you need. there is a bus service a couple of times a day.

  we are in the country side so gardening and maintenance and pet sitting are the main things. there are many local and cultural events in Umbria depending on the period of the year

  Aide

  walking the dogs for at least 1,5- 2 hours a day, play with them, feed them, be kind to them. they are very lovely and willing to learn.
  keeping the house and their beds clean is necessary ; depending on the weather they bring in dust and mud etc. they need a brush when too much stuff sticks in their coat.
  2 persons is ideal, for 2 dogs , and the house and garden and swimming pool want some maintenance.
