We spent 10 days with this wonderful family, and even though it has taken a while for us to get around to writing the feedback, we have definitely not forgotten the amazing time we had there, and we still enjoy following the twins through regular Facebook-updates as they grow up. It seems like a lot has happened since we left.

… read more thankful that we got the chance to spend part of our time in Iceland in Miðhús. The whole family was very welcoming, and we quickly felt like part of it. It was nice to be able to really get to know them (even though we did not stay for that long), as we always sat and talked together over dinner, and often in the evening while playing a game as well. They cared a lot about us getting the most out of our stay. They recommended a lot of things that we could do, lend us their car, and we also went on some trips together. Louise and Matias spent 10 days with us. They were excellent company, friendly and helpful. They were easygoing and immediately clicked with us all, even the smallest members of our family loved them. They helped a lot around the house and built a shed for our hens that they designed and did a very good job! They were easy to communicate with and

I spent just 3 weeks with Unnur, Arnar and their beautiful family, but it felt like we've known each other for years. They welcomed me warmly in their family since day one and made me feel part of it the whole time: we were hanging out, going on trips together and spending *almost* every night together talking, listening to music and playing
… read more dices. They also took me to visit their favourite places in the area and they were eager to give me a lot of tips about what to do in my free time and to tell me about Icelandic culture. Working didn't even feel like that! I was just helping them to tidy the house up, sometimes to hang the washing.. but it felt more like just sharing some quality time with the family, helping them with the basic chores and with the twins (so cute!!!). I had plenty of free time to explore the area and it was very easy because they were always borrowing me their car if they could.
Sooooo, I was very lucky to be hosted by such good-hearted, nice and funny people and I would recommend them to all the workawayers.

Alessandra spent 3 weeks with us. She fit right in with our family. She was wonderful, kind and joyful. We felt sooo lucky to have her. She was nice to hang out with, thoughtful and showed a lot of initiative so I didn't have to tell her what to do, she did it before I even asked her to!
