Country house stay with a family of five in Selfoss, rural Iceland

  Description

  We are a family of five, me, Unnur (41), my husband, Arnar (60), our son (15) and our twin daughters (3). We live in a rural house in the South of Iceland, surrounded by beautiful nature with many stunning attractions close by, such as Geysir geothermal area, which is just a 10 minute drive away. I am a musician and part-time teacher, part-time student, my husband is a painter and decorator and runs a small family company.
  
  We are looking for someone who can help keep the house tidy and clean, can help prepare meals, pick up groceries, and possibly do some laundry. Perhaps once in a while they could babysit the twins. Also we are looking for some good company. We are easy going and chill people.
  
  We won't take in couples or anyone with a dietary restriction, so if that applies to you please don't write to us. We also require our guest to speak English well enough for easy communication.

  You get to live in an Icelandic home, and learn about Icelandic history and culture from us. You will be able to join us on our daytrips, and enjoy the beautiful scenery around our home.

  We won't take in couples or anyone with a dietary restriction, so if that applies to you don't write us.
  
  In the autumn/winter we need help with keeping the house in order. We might need some help with babysitting the twins, help with cleaning and tidying the house, laundry, preparing meals, picking up groceries. We are also looking for some good and relaxed company. We like to play cards or board-games in the evening. We wish to incorporate you as much as possible into our family life.

  You get a private room in our house. We have 3 bathrooms, a kitchen and 2 living rooms that would be shared. In our house there are many musical instruments, all sorts of tools for DIYs, lots of artworks and a lovely atmosphere.

  Autres infos...

  There is no bus that runs near our house, so a drivers license and good driving skills is necessary. We could lend our workawayer our car from time to time to go and enjoy the local attractions. Nearby are many beautiful waterfalls, Geysir geothermal area, pools, lakes and mountains and more. We are able to give recommendations and advice.
