  Description

  Come help with spring or fall clean-up in Tobermory, Ontario! I have a two-acre wooded property just outside of Tobermory, located at the tip of the Bruce Peninsula, famous for its rugged beauty and access to the Bruce Trail. Tobermory is a small town that draws hikers and nature lovers from all over the world! My cat, Cali, and I offer a warm welcome to our home, which overlooks Lake Huron. This could be a good position for a couple or friends travelling together, as I work full-time and won't always be around. I have travelled in Europe and also taught English as a Second Language for many years. I love showing people around this beautiful place that I have come to call home!

  Workawayers would be able to experience rural life in a beautiful part of Canada. I will happily introduce workawayers to the community and the places of beauty that surround it as well as any cultural events that are happening. I love to learn about other cultures!

  I am hoping to find some help with trail maintenance, planting a garden, window washing, outdoor painting and other such tasks for a week or two in June, 2026. Help is also needed in October to prepare gardens for fall and other light maintenance help such as painting and cleaning windows.
  
  Some skills with these types of tasks would be helpful, as well as a willingness to work outdoors and with minimal supervision.

  I can offer a large, beautiful room on the lower level of my home with a walkout to a wooded area. There is one queen-size bed, a loveseat and a desk. I will provide healthy, nutritious food, and though I may not always be available to cook, I will make sure that there is a plan for meals.

  I am highly sensitive to cigarette smoke, so I can only accept non-smokers. The Chi-cheemaun ferry leaves Tobermory several times each day and sails to Manitoulin Island. This can be a fun trip for a day or weekend. There is no public transportation to Tobermory, but I can pick people up in Owen Sound, about 1.5 hours away. I am over 60 and live a quiet life. My home is 9 km from Tobermory, but I can help with transportation into town or offer a bicycle.
