Hello Fellow Travelers
We are a hostel with a restaurant and bar, situated on the beautiful Lake Atitlan in Guatemala.
Located right on the lakeside with clear waters in what's considered Santiago, but we are across the lake from the main town. Here you will find an energetic lively party atmosphere, family like vibes, and a wonderful opportunity to meet people, practice your Spanish and the ability to travel to the unique towns the lake has to offer. Not to mention beautiful views, amazing sunsets and friendly work environment.
Community work environment is essential to us, we are looking for people who are willing to bring good quality work ethic as well as their zestful dynamic personalities. We want you if you count yourself as someone who takes action, can organize activities, and gets long with all kinds of people. People willing to become part of the family and contribute their time and ideas to helping create a place that is animated and vibrant.
We need to highlight that this is a lively and somewhat party hotel, we have only recently opened this Santiago property, and need volunteers, service industry experience is a plus, because we are new we have on going projects so any other skills are welcome. Please reach out to us even if you have no experience but learn quickly, have the right attitude, and work ethic.

Volunteers will benefit from a cultural environment, wonderful collective vibes. Access to all organized parties and festivals we frequently organize. Living lakeside, swimming in clear lake water, paddle boarding, and more. Lovely family atmosphere, meeting and making friends for life from all over the world, and in your free time the wonders the lake towns have to offer. There is always opportunities for you to practice your Spanish.
We ask for a min stay of 4 weeks, unless you have unique skills please contact us and let us know how long you'd like to be with us. Mostly we need volunteers that will greet the guests, do check in's and out's, general hostel help and reception work. We have a relaxed comfortable atmosphere and love to help each other out in any and all areas. We need volunteer who can speak english, Spanish would be a very welcomed bonus.
We would consider any type of yoga teachers or teaches of certain activities, please write to us and tell us about yourself and we can work out a unique volunteering situation for you.
We have the possibility of paid shifts in events and other activities we organize outside the hostel so you can make extra cash.

You will have a dorm bed. We are currently setting up a specific room and area for our volunteers, once that is done you will have that available to you. Please note that we don't have electricity but we do use a generator to power the place. We will be setting a wifi option up later but until then we have full Claro/ Tigo signal. local sim card and data works well. 3 meals veg or regular (staff food) 10% discount in restaurant and bar for drinks and food. free activities when available. And again: the opportunity to earn extra money doing shifts at events and other activities we organize outside of the hostel.
