Description
Ditching city dreams for the countryside wasn't my initial plan, but now that I am here, I love it. Taking care of rescue animals, lots of plants, and getting hands-on with sawing, painting, and creating is my happy place. I am seeking a friendly, skilled individual or couple to share the work and soak up the awesomeness of living in one of Europe's most beautiful spots.

You'll live in the countryside under a big sky. I have many hobbies, like cooking, baking, fermenting, but I also love building stuff and I have all kinds of tools for DIY. Maybe we come up with an fun new project. If you're interested, you can get lots of tips about what to do on the island. If you would like you can improve your English or German language skills with me. I sometimes take in foster dogs from animal care associations and - apart from my dog - it's possible there is another dog on the premise that maybe has trust issues. Caring for and rehabitating dogs is a big part of my life. If you are interested in dogs and cats, you can learn about the work involved in animal care in Fuerteventura and I can point you to places where you can get involved. I also enjoy sports, I play Padel and can bring you along.
Aide
The house and the guest house are rather newly built. Mostly I need help with upkeep and coming up with new ideas to make it even nicer. For example, I am about to give the guest house a new coat of paint. I have a sanding machine but the work still requires a bit of strength and patience and it would be good to have help with that. I was also thinking about maybe making the space over the kitchen sink a bit nicer with some tiles. Then there is always things to do around the garden, especially the veggie garden.

Hébergement
You're staying in my guest house which comes with kitchen and bath. I often work in the garden or on DIY projects during the day and in the evening I am busy with my personal project on the computer, so I have a bit of an irregular schedule. I will often not be able to cook and therefore provide basic food you can prepare for yourself. But If I do have time, I'll cook for us something vegetarian or pescatarian.

Lajares has a very relaxed vibe. It's a haven for surfers, artists, and anyone looking to kick back. The best beaches in the north are all close by. We have several good cafes, restaurants, surf schools, shops and a supermarket. There are plenty of opportunities for sports such as cycling, walking and all kinds of water sports. You can explore the neighbouring villages of El Cotillo and Corralejo. My house is on the edge of the village. It's a 15 minute walk to the village centre. To the supermarket about 20 mins. The beaches are about a 10 minute drive by car, but there is also a bus service.
