LOOKING FOR A VOLUNTEER IN OCTOBER 2024

We are a family of four; Mariateresa, Emanuele, Linda (1 year old) and Luca (4 years old). We live in Matera, a beautiful and vibrant town in the south of Italy.
Emanuele is a beekeeper and I am an English teacher. We love living in an intercultural environment, speaking languages we know (English and a bit of German and Spanish) and learn languages that we don't. When we were young we lived in England, Germany, a short period in Colombia, Switzerland and Spain (Mariateresa) and Norway (Emanuele).
Emanuele is the one who loves mountains, hiking and climbing and having pic nics in the nature. Mariateresa is the one who loves spending time on the beach, enjoying the breeze.

We are very friendly and easy-going people who love being surrounded by interesting people. We have lived many experiences abroad where we were hosted by families and now we want to do the same. We will organise some trips to show you the area, which is really unknown but very authentic. I love driving to the beach, so I would be happy to bring you with. Moreover, we live in a vibrant town where there are lots of interesting things coming on. We want to introduce you a co-working space where lots of thought-provoking events take place. We are part of it and we think that it's a good way to meet new people and explore the surroundings.

Aide
Emanuele is away all day with his bees and I work at school in the morning and some afternoons.
We are looking for a reliable person who can help us with some light home chores as well as looking after the kids when we are at work. They go to school until 4 pm. So some days it will be necessary to pick them up from school, play with them and feed them, till we come back home.
About chores are mainly dish-washer duty, trash and/or cooking, and cleaning up after breakfast/dinner and after our baby eats, laundry (not everyday though).
Sometimes my parents help me and sometimes I call a babysitter, too.

The kids are full of energy! Luca, 4 years old, was in a quite moody phase and I regreted not being able to communicate in Italian with him. But we got along well, played, painted and listened to music. I also did some house chores.
